Any reads on villain?

When people quickly call on the flop like that then donk the turn I typically put them on a draw or something like TPNK.

I'd be stoked to get all in here, especially at $2NL.

2NL random? After the flop call I put him on Ax/Kx/Qx/22+/ any two diamonds, any ten or any jack. Anything that connects even remotely.

Basically a half billion hands you beat, and a few that beat you. Get it in ASAP, like you did on the turn. Well played.

Though at 2NL I probably raise to .1 preflop. Gotta raise bigger to give proper intimidation for isolation at these limits.

I played a cash game live once where I hit this same flop with aces and got it in vs KQ. It was nice :)

off topic:

I used to buy in at $3 at this level which is 150bb. I felt this was more than enough if you are here for learning purposes. If you are happy buying in at $5 and feel you can beat it 2/5cent tables might be a better option.

I just feel going from sng's to 250bb deep is quite a big step. I might have ur history wrong - if so ignore :)

ya slikk you really should prob just buy-in for 100bb's and get used to it cuz that's how it is above .02/.05. maybe you just built up to $5 from $2 though? :D

AK, AQ, KQ, A4s, JT and if he is real loose looney, then K4s and Q4s can be included too.

Thin draw vs 16 combos of JT and crushing the rest of his 2pair hands, 100BB effective stacks, so stick it in for value and hope for the best.

I really think the average 2NL player is loose enough to generally stick in 100BBs with Ax here.

Now I've only played about 1k hands of 2NL, so my perspective is likely skewed, but I saw people stick it in with all sorts of stuff. Some were tighter sure...any sorta read is highly valuable as always, but in this hand I think we're strong enough that it's a clear all-in

Thanks for the response guys. martin is correct, I got up to $5 from my buy-in of $2 on this table. I guess I should post a question about how much to buy-in for ring, because I'm a little unsure.

Basically, how much should one buy-in for at these stakes (I guess 100 BB is fine) and second:

Does the number of "buy-ins" your bankroll support increase / decrease depending on how much you buy-in for?

Okay and the results: He had JT obv. :D . Well, whatever, If I was ahead of his range, I consider the shove a good play. The only thing is, I think the average online poker donk (at least on Stars) has mutated- they don't seem to stack off with crap very often (like Ax here). Then again, I've barely started so I hardly have any experience to speak from.

you need to buy-in for 100bb cuz that is what the games are like above .02/.05, and that's what you are preparing for. as far as bankroll goes, i guess you would need a larger bankroll if you and most of the ppl you are playing are playing deep all the time.

I like buying in full if your BR allows it because you will be taking stacks left and right at this level and will rarely be giving up your stack (except for the beats of course). Not having bad players covered will only cost you money imo.

As far as BR is concerned, I always looked at it as wanting to have x number of buyins, regardless of how big the buyins are. Maybe that's wrong, but it worked for me at least.

Right. In that case I would still consider myself rolled for that game with 30 buyins. The difference is that 30 buyins is now 90000bb instead of 3000bb.

i'm referring to 100bb's when i say "buy-in" so you are just agreeing with me i guess in that you need a larger bankroll if you buy-in deep along with others.
