1 card sd vs tag

this hand has two decisions in it.

villain is 17/13/8/200. no specific reads. i think his c/r range is heavily weighted towards pair+sd. first decision is jamming the turn. i cant see any of his nut hands not betting the turn (i.e. sets and straights), especially given his AF. the river i thought was a fairly easy check behind, because hes shown so much weakness that i think he folds to almost any bet, but im curious if anyone thinks it is a bet, and say why.

i would probably bet the turn, the only hand that i think might call you is 99. On the river I like a check behind.

I play it the same as you with a check behind on the river.

A turn bet is bad cause we have showdown value and a decent draw that cannot continue if raised. The only part of his c/r range we beat without improving are his air/draw range which will not continue if we bet the turn.

I would never bet the turn here and against some opponents I am tempted to put in a small value bet on the river but against this one I might just check behind as our hands has showdown value.

So we're letting any random overcard hand that decided to (semi) bluff the flop have a free card to draw out on us?

I expect to be ahead on the turn a fair amount, by checking behind aren't we making the mistake?

Shove the flop, you have 10 outs versus pretty much everything. You pretty much could care less if he calls with 99-AA, 77-55. Hopefully, this move may extend his calling range in other spots.

I think shoving the flop is mandatory.

How do you expect to get your sets paid off if you play overpair + OESD like this?
