After he busted in the 5k plo tourny

ugh. he's so irritating.
goes out of his way to advertise the fact that his arrogance isn't just a table image move...
You're right tho -- it is a good helmuth interview :)
I can hardly stand listen to him whine. God damn he sounds like such a bitch.
"I am playing amazing poker right now."
"I defended my blind 23 times and check folded the flop about 22 of them."
That'll teach them internet kids that just raise, bet, bet, bet and give way too much action.Quote:

Its definitely more fun to watch him lose than watch him win. Had to watch it a couple time, so many great lines...
For my tastes, Harmony could have been just a little more sarcastic.
"They were learning from me as we played"
"If they outdraw me they will beat me"
and to Contrast Phil, this is what Daniel Negreanu said in his interview when he busted out of a tourney.
When discussing not complaining about this tourney after winning a bracelet the other day he said "oh I could,it's just poeple would be really annoyed with the idea that I am complaining about bad luck."
fwiw Phil is quite justified in being so egotistical. He's one of the greatest ever.
/end defence.
god did it ever occur to you guys that phil just totally levels everyone in these interviews?????
humbling > egotisticalQuote:

The funny thing is he could be the best and most talented tourney player in the world (I really have no idea), but that doesn't change the fact that his general outlook on the game is EXACTLY THE SAME as every sore loser prick who has read a couple poker books and thinks he should never get beat by anyone as a result. It's always the same shit with these guys - they want to lecture you on how you played (or misplayed) the hand that cost them chips; they go on & on about their hideous luck - like no one else has ever had a run of cold cards before; and they talk about how there's too much luck in poker. Too much luck! If there was less luck in poker, the bad players would never play - they'd all be broke already. It'd be like playing one-on-one hoops against Kobe for money; nobody would do it. You'd have to re-engineer the entire game and take money out of it completely.
I have to think that by now Phil has heard this stuff a hundred times and just KNOWS it, deep in his blood. But he still comes off like a conceited 20 year old in every interview. Depressing.
{semi-annual Phil Helmuth is a whiny bitch comment}
hahahaah gollllld
Let's face it I wouldn't put more then three thousand dollars with two tens preflop!
How about $3100? Would you put in $3100? *looks away gayishly*

I like it. It's much better than him thanking god for making shit possible and all of that.
