what is your raising range when folded to you on the SB?
Mmm - depends on who is in the BB, but against an unknown or a standard player, probably:
Ax as long as x is suited to the ace or higher than 7
KT, KJ, KQ
QT, QJ
JT
any pocket pair
suited connectors 54 or higher
suited gappers 86 or higher
72o, 74o
Against players who call too much or raise too much, I start limping some of these at times with the intent of limp-raising or taking a flop against someone who pays off goot.
This is VERY heavily BB dependent. Not having post-flop position makes it really easy to trap yourself.
That said, I defend my BB very light against a SB open. Maybe too light sometimes.
That's why this depends so much. Against a Fnord type, I'm not opening nearly that wide a range, and start mixing in more limps with an assortment of hands. Metagame stuff starts to matter more if he's going to defend his BB a lot and test your mettle.Quote:
