I don't love it. Aren't you betting your hands that you want to get AI on the flop? I mean he isn't repping much, so I don't hate the turn raise, but I don't think you're repping much either.

I thought I represented a set decently, 1010 most obviously, and could get him to fold JJ/QQ/air

but if your realistically only repping one hand i.e. 1010 and maybe ak,kq, isnt this line a bit thin?

yeah, the thing is his range is mostly a made hand so you're never getting shoved over, so it's a very good line with a draw

without info on history and reads, is there really anyway to determine whether or not this is good? if there is, there must be something im missing in terms of understanding this game.

this can be good if and only if u are willing to shove the river if your opponent is ok at poker

I think you get away with this against weaker players because the pot size will make folks more passive and with so little behind the thinking will tend to be at a lower level.

I agree with Marshall, that this is all about history.
