At Micro-stakes is it an acceptable move to raise 4xBB on a SB limper maybe Button limper?(Obviously with a steal worthy hand.)
EDIT: When on the BB

Yes on the SB, becuase you will have position throughout the hand. I would say be a little more selective when raising up an open Bu limper simply because they will have position.
Yeah and if you're in the BB and the SB limps it usually means he doesn't have much, hence the limp and not a raise.Quote:

For what it's worth, I'm not saying BU open limps shows strength, just that them having position you would want to have a stronger hand.
Hear you loud and clear. I'll certainly keep it in mind, and bail if I think i'm in trouble.
I do this with >50% of hands and there isn't really fault in doing it with any two as long as the effective stacks aren't really small.
If raising button and small blind limpers is wrong, i dont wanna be right
If button open limps you'll need something that plays somewhat well postflop to do this, but if sb open completes, i'm raising about 75% of hands
standard?
I'd say it's standard. As badgers said, it's better to make sure the effective stack isn't small, as they are more inclined to trap or call a raise with a small stack.
I wouldn't have thought of that really. thanks . I've already kinda laid out my "guidelines" for doing it.
-No Call Stations
-No shortstacks
-caution when they have position.
Any more? Obviously these don't apply when I've got a premium hand.
Stations are great - raise them when you plan to hit your hand on the flop :DQuote:

This isn't exactly the question you asked, but here are a couple of links to some good threads that are pretty much on topic:
Blindstealing 101 and Raising Behind Limpers by Spoonitnow. Great stuff about playing late position hands in unraised pots.
Wow, that was a great insight. Thanks for the links Robb. I've read the Blind Stealing 101, but not the other.(till now.) I'm going to reread that, take some mental notes, and Apply it. What an excellent addition to my game... I'm here to make money, and that's just one more tool for the job.
