TPTK on wet board (25NL)

UTG is solid regular, cbets most flop he openned preflop. Normally I would have folded this preflop, but he had openned the last 3 hands in a row so I decided to call behind. UTG+1 is a donk calling station and will any cbet with any piece of the flop, UTG+1 is also unaware of position and will call with any two cards as long as they are suited.

Why did you call PF?

Because, I knew UTG was weak since he had openned 3 pots in a row and was sitting out at another one of my tables, so I was pretty sure he was just ending his session and wanted to use the last few hands to win some hands.

UTG+1 was a fish who cplayed 45% of his hands so I would've isolated him had he limped. Everone behind me was supertight, so unless they had a hand they would fold so I was rather confdent the hand would be 3 handed.

Besides, even if the circumstances had been different and UTG did not open the past 3 hands in a row and was about to leave I don't see why it's "that" wrong... I've definitely seen and made looser plays before, and I think it's +EV to call preflop considerring I was pretty sure UTG was just finishing his session and the fish called behind. (I might've folded had the fish not called)

Its only wrong, if you're not sure how to play TPTK when you call PF. I mean, you flop TPTK or TPGK or you're hoping for a miracle flop which is a waste of $s.

Obviously this isnt a great flop even for confident players, but if you're going to flat EP raise multi-way pots with moderate hands, you're going to be put into marginal situations. You need to decide whether thats worth it.

hmm I see what you're saying... But if the flop came T63 rainbow it would be a lot easier to decide what to do. But because this flop is so dangerous, I was wonderring what most different people would do in this situation.

I'm not the type of person to decide what to do before the flop unless I'm calling with a very marginal hand (22/suited connectors) and have a plan for many flops. When I call preflop with AT and get this flop, I play it different depending on villains and I'm sure any decent player does so as well. I'm all for making the game easier to play, but if I do the same thing all the time with every hand, then good players will pick up on it very quickly and exploit my tendencies so I tend to get into "some" marginal spots postflop, we could say, much more than a nit, and some less than a LAG.

I raise to try to isolate the donk on flop and fold to an UTG 3bet and shove to donk 3bet

I 3-bet PF to fold out the reg and play a big pot v's the donk, which also makes our postflop decisions a lot easier.

Don't say this or think this. Think "he probably has a weak range". Definitely fold or maybe 3bet pre. As played call and see what happens. Raise/folding vs utg is also an all right play i think.
