Operation: Do a Ferguson

Due to the fact I'm a tilty idiot I've decided to start a quest pretty much along the same lines as Chris Fergusons at Full Tilt. Namely starting with nothing, build up a bankroll. But I'm not going to try and make it $10k, just making it to 2-3k will do me ;). And I'm going to try it at 'stars instead.

I'm doing this mostly as an exercise in self-control, but also I know I have the potential to be a decent player. <Please note I never said great> :D

And just in the interest of full disclosure I'll be using Holdem Indicator ( on which I have now zero'd on the stats) and if by the end of September I've not made any in roads I'll knock it on the head.

Rules:

Cash Game Entry: 5% of total bankroll
MTT Entry: 1% (MT SnG's are included in here as well)
SnG Entry: 2% (I figure I'd have a better shot with only 10 players max so would risk a little more)

The only cavat I'm putting on this is that if I make money I can enter at the lowest stakes available.

Also, If I loose %15 percent of my 'roll in one day I stop for the day

Ok that's about it, I'll keep people updated as and when, and there's a freeroll starting in 5 mins anyway ;)

Do you have any FPPs? The 90 FPP hundred grand sats are silly soft and 11 T$ is a great little BR starter (way better than freerolls).

I know it's not exactly the same as starting from absolutely nothing, but grinding freerolls sounds painful...

I've got six. Got rid of 'em so's I couldn't use them to get me started :D

Oh and I've set myself a starting target of $100, I'll change it higher if I build it :)

Playing in a 12000 freeroll for a place in the weekly round 2 99 places win

at first break : 983 of 2505 with 6975 in chips.

So not earth shattering but, hey, I've only got to beat 99% of these folks ;)

Oh and I've made a couple of donk-ish calls that i've gotten away with, made some brave calls/raises worked with the pot odds/EV ect. and even played a bit of good poker :D

Tanked it, got out ahead of my hand (again)
