I took this today in Mt. Airy, aka the town that Mayberry was based off of.

Big deal, the stop drop and roll method has stood the test of time. Just because they can point to one scenario where it won't work doesn't give them the right to shit all over it, especially if they're not going to offer up an alternative.

There is a church I drive by everyday that just installed an LCD display by the road. This is on a back 2 lane "highway" interconnect, not off an interstate, or any sort of developed area.
