This thread is to post movies that are close to your heart, despite their obvious flaws. Everyone around you may hate it and you may even want to hate it yourself.
I'll start with one I saw pretty recently: Waterworld. Brilliant movie.

nothing to be embarrassed about at all
I thought summer catch was ok, though i remember being jealous and disliking the baseball kid for the sole reason he was pimping jessica biel in the movie.
I also thought madagascar was the shit with this applying to many other animated films made for children :/.
Madagascar was awesome, no need to be embarrassed.
I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT
people shit on Armageddon being the worst movie of all time but I think it is truly awesome, however fake it may be
Summer Catch does have Jessica Biel in it but the storyline is pretty retarded and very far-fetched
okay, new movie I liked that I'm embarrassed about: For Love of the Game, the Kevin Costner chick-flick that revolves around a baseball game.
spenda, I also really like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days for some reason too...
ah ive got a good one! the Babe films, with the little pig who gets up to all sorts of adventures, preety damn cool if you ask me.
Now I know who all of the losers are here at FTR... lmao... Bend it Like Beckham.. WTF
I'm not embarassed about any films that I like because the films I like - ARE AWESOME!
Maybe there's one ... hmmmm.... nope, can't think of any... they're all awesome.
A Walk to Remember
James Bond movies, even the terrible ones.
That's not embarrassing, most people liked it.Quote:

I don't know if I'm embarrassed that I "As Good as it Gets" is one of my favorite movies. Sure, I don't brag about it at the bowling alley or anything. :?
Movie I watched once and am embarrassed I liked:
- The Notebook. That's right, The fucking Notebook.

I also like (the chic flicks)
10 Things I Hate about You
Love Actually
Mean Girls
Notting Hill
And (the Not Critically excellent, but totally kickass movies)
Roadhouse (i've actually watched this twice in the last week... although it sucks cuz you don't get to see the fun bags on cable.)
Red Dawn (so awesome)
Robocop 2 (Robocop 1 i also like, but it was actually deemed pretty good)
Starship Troopers
I'm sure there are dozens of other "guilty pleasures" that I have with movies. But these are a few...
I think Mean Girls is basically a unanimous favorite for all of mankind.
i have not seen mean girls
fear of freeze-framing and jerking
madagascar is great
james bond movies and kingnat's kickass movies are nothing to be embarrassed about
agreed, the robocop films were great, and the starship troopers film, though absolutely ridiculous is awesome!
james bond is super cool, I've watched 8 of the old ones in the last two weeks.
moulin rouge....
nicole is hawt.
Ok... here's my contribution:
Sydney White
i am not gay.
this is the most embarassing yet
i like "Priscilla queen of the desert"
I don't even know the movie sydney white so it must be super gay

I like a lot of the cartoon/computerized films, but The Little Mermaid is still my favorite.
Also, like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Steel Magnolia's, Pretty Woman, An Officer and a Gentleman (hehe, just noticed the Julia Roberts to Julia Roberts and Richard Gere to Richard Gere connection there) and I am certainly not ashamed to say I watch Roadhouse because I will ONLY watch it on channels like HBO or Skinemax where I can see the funbags.
Movies in this thread that i dont think belong cuz they're awesome:
Roadhouse
Hook
Never Ending Story
Saving Silverman
Waterworld
I guess I have to beat my last attempt in this thread. How is this for manliness: Bring it on
The Stoned Age
Hook. best scene is the food fight imo.
Life as a House. meh.
Armageddon is pretty awful, but i find it entertaining and will watch it.
same goes for What Women Want. same goes for most a lot of crappy hollywood movies. its when they whip out like paul walker that it gets so bad you want to puke in your mouth.
Yeah! When the kid's like, "You're doing it Peter!"Quote:

All star cast, awesome plot, great special effects and all carried out brilliantly without resorting to being a kids movie. Fucking awesome!

''Deathproof'', starring Kurt Russel as the Psycho Stuntman Killer Dude. My wife liked it too, especially when the hot babes beat his sorry butt down into the ground! LMAO!
