In the few times I've been scolded through email by a manager (usually asking for a file I already sent and they didn't see it in their inbox) they always start the message with "dude,"
I'm talking a sample size of 3 managers. Anyone else get this? Is it because I'm young?
that's not really professional...maybe they are trying to be cool with you. like they are a human just like you....

well, i'm not really insulted or anything, i've just noticed the only time i see dude in an email from a high up is when they're annoyed
maybe from now on you should use dude to answer their response....see how they like it.

reply with more 'u's, as in: "duuuuude, check your inbox. I sent it to you over an hour ago"
One of the three i've done that to because I'm comfortable with him and he'd probably laugh. The other two not so much.
