oesd 3bet flop = balance? 100nl vs fish

villain is 60-20 aggro unknown after about 3 orbits. I'm running 24-21 since i've been here. I need to balance more, is this a bad time to do so? note also that villain is 50bb deep, has timed out a couple of times alread (more equity) and is posting UTG+1

the rest of the table is regs. And right here I'm not convinced that it's -EV, but can't that still be a form of balancing? I have loads of outs, I have fold equity (esp cos he's on a dodgy internet connection), I generate fun image among regs for only 50bb if i lose, and it may add some value to my weak flop bets.

c/rai should generate a lot more FE which is what you want.

How often do you notice the way a reg plays a hand against a fish? In my case I know the answer is very little, you do not generate an image or history with regs by playing hands sub-optimally against fish. I think the whole idea of balancing your range is largely to combat good hand readers anyway, which this guy clearly isn't. You shouldn't be thinking about balancing your range vs. fish, only against regs where you can generate an image that will last into other sessions. My point is that you should care about how you are maximising value or in this case fold equity vs. this fish, just think about how to best play this hand not how you're balancing your range.

I'm sorry I haven't offered any worthwhile advice on the hand, I think crai and b/3b are both valid options, I would probably b/3b because I think he's probs folding some of his limp/call range, he's occasionally raising wiht air/folding (which is a great result for us) and we have a hell of a lot of outs vs. a hand like AT.

if you figure that you FE is great, then you should 3 bet/shove or even c/rai. Frankly, i'd rather felt this all day with at least 11+ clear outs. Fold is not a big mistake in these spots vs loose opponents in felt mode.

If you want to get it in on the flop, I think a c/rai is better since he's less likely to feel committed with his T2o Doyle Brunson.

i dunno if i'd 3bet here out of position against a LAGG... i'd definitely do it if i have position on him since he will more than likely check the turn and if we miss we have a chance for a free card...

Idunno about you guys but when I'm running 12+ tables I don't have time to notice the hands that other people are playing when I'm not involved.
And how regs beat fish is of no interest to me.

This is not a good spot for meta game

do it vs someone that you will be playing a lot with in the future. Keilah's last sentence holds very true.
