General spot with middle pair

Very general and basic spot. Villain is unknown, like very often at these player pools.

As played preflop, flop c/c is standard. What's my play on the turn and why? (if we c/c again is villains betsize of any importance here? and river would be c/f to any bet?)

I very often c/c flop, c/f turn with these middle pair hands. As more people seem to start double barreling, should I
- c/c turn more often?
- or just 3bet preflop?

PF play I think is fine. With no stats/reads on opponent I tend to give UTG raises the benefit of the doubt until he shows to be too loose/spewy.

Given the size of the Turn bet I think it becomes evident that the 7 was a scare card. I'd consider doing one of two things here. Call and be ready to bet a substantial amount (~3/4 pot) on almost any River when checked to, or 3bet the Turn and try to take it down (repping a hand like A7, 87, 67 obv.)

Maybe a bit too advance for 25nl especially considering the possibility he's NEVER folding a K in a million years.. but after it plays out at least you'll be able to note it and adjust accordingly.

Villain raised from MP actually. Yeah I don't like 3betting that much against non-loose opponents either, just considering things when postflop play gets tough almost always. Thing with 3betting is that we often kinda turn our TT/JJ into a bluff on the flop.

I think our hand has too much value to turn into a bluff. And as said, nobody would fold a K here.

I'm just wondering if people c/c here again often because they think they're ahead enough.

It helps to know villains barrelling tendancies in 3 bet pots. Calling isn't bad here but neither is folding. My standard play would just be to fold.

well obviously this isnt a turn you are going to get double barreled on too much so fold. don't 3bet preflop, do c/c flop. I would c/c blank turns quite frequently against competent villains in this particular hand.
