Frequently lost in these spots

Villian is relatively unknown, he´s been randomly limp/calling from any position. I´m really lost, raising inflates the pot when I´m not happy to stack off, calling leaves me oop with him having 12 million turn cards to represent.

There's not much wrong with folding against an unknown and seemingly passive villain.

there's plenty wrong with folding TPGK to a weak villain on a super draw heavy board.

this for sure, but im sorta lost on a plan for the turn. I think im folding to any bet thats not completely retarded on a scare(ish) card. i'll call a decent turn bet on a total blank.

3-betting is bad and folding is bad so merely by process of elimination call.

call and reevaluate

well standard would be to c/f but if villain doesnt suck its a pretty good time to bomb turn bomb river as a bluff. unfortunately it seems like villain is awful.

how bad is check/call, check/fold? This is the suggestion from my roommate and he doesn't believe me that it's probably the worst option.
