Last year, I made it about 6 months and it was "Do something you've never done before or would never do normally every month."
So I'll see if I can't beat 6 months this time 'round.
Get fit.
Drink less (in alcohol units/times drinking, not nescessarily (sp) in times drinking/year. Step one is to drink beer instead of drinks at clubs).
Get a job.
Let's see some real resolutions. I have to think about mine but these are terrible. General resolutions like get fit or make money don't work. I want to see concrete goals like "I will work out three times a week" and "I will eat three healthy meals a day focusing on such and such food groups."
FWIW, I think that's an awesome resolution Rilla.
not die
Fall 2008 was the worst semester ever. I had to stop working out, and i had to cut my already short amount of poker playing time. So, my new years resolution is to start playing a shitload more poker, and go to the gym for 2 hours 4 times a week.
Not dying is a good one too...
FUCKING WORK THE FUCK OUT EVERY FUCKING MORNING
Stop smoking!!!! I'm gonna fucking do it!
Get my left leg conditioned back to where I was before my accident.
Become a more social person, hopefully meet a pretty girl.
Get on a good poker schedule.
Not procrastinate about school stuff.
Do extracurricular school shit which will look good when I graduate.
Eat better.
Pretty much stick to chicken breast and dark greens best I can. I love spinach, asparagus and broccoli so that should not be to bad.
I have a ton of venison too, which is lower in fat that beef.
Stop eating fast food. I figure if I just bake a ton of chicken breast I always have it there instead of grabbing fast food.
Try to get to the gym 5 times a week. There really is no excuse to not go after class or even in between class. Even if I just hop on a bike and read a book.
tell me how when you figure it out.Quote:

1. Get another job after being pwned by the credit crunch.
2. Start jogging again.
3. Play proper pkr rather than just gambling within my bankroll.
Drop 40lbs by my birthday (May 25th).
Start My FTR blog back up and keep it updated at least once a week.
less time playing and more time studying, because 20K hands at 5bb/100 at $200NL will be better than 40K hands at $100NL at 7bb/100.
Maintain my $500 minimum a month promise of withdrawals so I can keep playing as much as I do. ( 5 months and counting)
I need to play more hands and start taking school more seriously. This means stop wasting so much time browsing the internet and just doing rand crap. Also getting into a normal sleep schedule would help a lot.
learn nunchucks and aikido
go to holland to start on a master in systems analysis and strat mgmt or (gasp!) psychology, but this can wait till 2010 imo
um, fail?Quote:

And then
EXERSIzE!!
-Setting profit goals leaves too much to variance, so I'll just say spend 1M on donkament buyins and the profit should take care of itself.
-Figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life.
-Buy a house without destroying my bankroll to do it.
-Go to 3 live donkaments in foreign countries and spend some time away from the resort exploring. Also become fluent in Spanish because that'd make everything way more enjoyable.
- finish one marathon, finish two half marathons <1:30:00 (1:38:41 being my best finish this year)
- do every road gap/final jump on the local downhill tracks
- drink less/dont lose control when drunk
- stay alive
- spend less money on useless stuff
- be a nice person
Make a budget.
I worry about the debt I'm trying to pay off all the time, but don't think anything of dropping $30-50 multiple times a week.
play some poker jesus christ
-double my volume
- maintain a 50+% ROI
- swim in monies
dude.... I am so with you. Its weird. I dont even like going to bars that much, normally its too loud, and you cant really talk.. Yet I feel socially obligated to go to bars when certain people ask. Then I drop 40-100$ in a night on something I dont even want to do. Im seriously considering getting on the wagon just to save monies.Quote:
