I asked Full Tilt for details on how to register, this is what they said:

There won't be a Register button like normal tournaments. Instead, click on the link that says "Click here to register" in the tournament lobby.

it's luckyslev1n with a '1' ! I've never actually deposited on FT(although I have played) was waiting until I had the full 600$ for their first deposit offer, I just wondered if that could be anything to do with it not letting me register?
