Good spot to donk? UTG was something like 17/15 so I figure a somewhat tight UTG range but may not c-bet if he doesnt have an A, and this seemed wet enough I didnt want a check through.

Bet sizing question. Villain is something like 15/12 PF but just terrible postflop. Likely holdings are an underpair or somekind of Q or 9. Definitely not strong and never going to improve to a better hand than maybe a split.

Villain is close to 100% bet when missed c-bet by PFR over a pretty decent sample. Running around 30/1.

just had a quick look man, will look harder later, other hands seem fine

hand 1: perfect spot to donk.

hand 2: i think you can even pot the turn, but $10 seems right.

hand 3: yeah, just call the river, not much value in raising

hand 4: raising here is fine sometimes, but obv not standard. your turn bet looks way more like a club draw than a set, so i would either bet bigger/call, or just check and give up, which isn't horrible because your flop raise is going to work a fair amount of the time vs said villain.

Hand 1: I think probably just fold preflop, it's soso hard to extract value from anything when you do hit a set, I mean, when you lead out at this board from the sb, realize how ridiculously strong you look... Your opponents have to be pretty terrible to lose a lot to you here.

Hand 2: When they minbet then call then minbet again on the next street, there's only two intentions they can have, either one, they are trying to see another card cheaply, or two, they realized that if they minbet you will raise them a lot so they are trying to induce. I actually find it really rare that it's almost ever to induce. Whenever some fish starts doing this to me and I have a hand I get a little frustrated because they end up just folding SOOOOO often. Either way, you can't just call, you need to pump the pot, so just keep potting it and hope he makes something or tries to hero call.

Hand 3: Your image has to be pretty terrible I think to just limp behind 89s OTB, I think it's almost always going to be an isolation here. I definitely would have raised the flop, you will get called by all sorts of stuff you are ahead of, 97 68 67 57 58 A5, A8, 77, 88.... Also, raising buys you a free turn card a lot of the time if you end up feeling you need to take it, though betting the turn after raising is usually going to be profitable as well in this spot. After just calling the flop, by checking behind the turn you are missing like A TON of value, and also letting him draw when it's just so highly likely you are ahead. Raising this river is just spew, it's like you waited to make your hand then decided to turn it into a bluff. This play just doesn't make any sense.

Hand 4: If you tried to checkraise me on this flop after opening the sb, I'd probably just raise and re-raise you when I had nothing, then just called when I had something. It doesn't make any sense to checkraise a real hand here since you should expect villain to play back at you light in this situation (i.e. the board hit his perceived range and missed yours). Reason I'd do this is because I would think that you thought if you bet out I would raise you here, so you are trying to get more fold equity by doing something goofy like a checkraise. Obv if you did it with a hand you'd own my soul, and many others too. I think this hand is like really spew overall. Just bet flop then worry about making the decision about what to do when he raises you IF he actually raises you.

Yeah, but I'm not playing you Marshal. Surely if a guy calls 30% (probably much wider in BB vs SB) and has almost 100% bet when checked to, then betting with any of our range is bad?

I still think checkraising is just going to encourage him to make some kind of dopey play. I'd much prefer to either double barrel or to just check and give up the hand. Now that I think of it, I really prefer to just fold preflop and give this guy the pot since all we have is 9 high and he's calling way too much. We actually just end up value-towning ourselves.

The other thing is, when you c/r here, you end up bloating the pot even bigger while oop and with no hand without getting much real information about his hand. This turn was one of the better cards you could have hit, but you still had to bet/fold. It's just going to be a losing play in the long run to try to do something like this imo. Fold pre.

I think you're right. It just seems like we should be able to exploit someone like that with ATC. This was the first time I tried it. Probably best to go safer for now.

I like 1&2. Just call 3. And hate 4, just c/f flop.

Agree, except completely on hand 1.
Hand 1 is OK if I know that BB is a fish and will call.
44 OOP vs UTG raise 6max is very difficult to play. It's a much more profitable situation in FR.

Yeah hand 1&2 are cool.
Hand 3 I bet turn as played I just call river.
Hand 4 - what marshall said

#1 I like it. Vs more aggressive players I like to donk a little smaller b/c everyone goes spazz on tiny donk leads.

#2 I like your sizing. Id probably raise these minbets on all three streets with air as well, so I don´t want to make it too big.

#3 Raise it preflop and take down 9/10 flops unimproved. Turn depends on how likely he is to c/r. Sample is small so Id def raise/fold river to 7.5 or 8.

#4 Std is to c/f, but I do c/r this flop from time to time with AXcc/22/44/66/35, pretty much for the reasons Marshall mentioned. To balance that range I like hands like yours. I´d probably give up or c/c something reasonable on this turn with stack sizes being awkward.
