100Nl line checks

#1 No strong reads, the villain is neither notably tight or loose or aggro. He rarely floats me light 5 handed and prob doesnt flat 77/55, so he either has the FD himself or some kind of TP. Id hate to c/c turn, anyone crai rather than b/3b?

#2 BB has been active preflop, over a medium sample he has been opening and 3betting a bunch, but no specific history between the two of us has been recorded. While he´s definetly lighter than QQ+/AK here, I think 4balling pre allows him to play pretty much correctly against me. I wonder if flatting flop sucks, but I won´t be repping much against which he´d monkey off AJ-.

Hand 1 - The combination of him not thinking we have a flush that often (ie: him potentially trying to rep a flush), along with the fact that he could have a straight or two pair or just raising your weak bet sizing, we're obviously never folding.

Hand 2 - I don't mind how this was played. I might bet the turn sometimes but check is fine, if he's the type to c/f often. River I would bet more, since he's mostly got a bluff catcher here.

Hand 3 - Against this villain, I would definitely bet turn for value and charge his draws. I think there is more value in a turn bet than a river bet vs this type of opponent. As played, river bet is fine.

2) I would consider it a problem that you don't think you can 4 bet QQ vs a loose 3 better and get it in good. Ie your image. As played I'd probably bet the turn and river. I wouldn't raise the flop.

3) I don't know how stationy this guy is cause you didn't mention af but I think it's played fine. There may or may not be a bet on the turn depending.

2. get it in at least on the flop (for balance) if you must slowplay preflop.

3. good. cbet flop + check turn oop vs a weak range certainly does not indicate a draw so we don't need to bet to charge. our range for checking turn + betting river is weaker than our range for betting the turn so the river should be the best place to bet vs a thinking opponent when our hand has one street of value.

I'm pretty sure 55/23 isn't a thinking opponent. We almost have 3 streets of value vs this kind of player,once he checks the turn I'd imagine. Especially if he's passive and won't bluff the river once we check the turn. Just feel like a fish (passive?) opponent will c/c some draws or weak hands on this turn, but prob won't bluff river if we check turn and won't c/c his drawing hands anymore.

1 - I like bet/3b on the flop. I always want to get a lot in on the flop because we could potentially get a lot weaker on the turn.

2 - I'm ok with the call since we're in position, but I think I 4b as a standard play anyway. I think I play it the same post flop, but I really like Griffey's idea of betting more because his only calling hands should call more. If it's likely you'll see more of this player than we can think about a balanced bet size there, but without history we can just worry about the present.

3 - How often does he really have a draw on this flop? Is he bad enough to call a turn bet with a gut shot? I like this line.

the way i see it anyone who isnt an ultrapassive retard is going to have more air and super weak hands that are checkfolding than draws here, so allowing a free card helps more than hurts us because we want them to catch some random pair, realize we can have a missed straight draw, and call one good sized bet. your thought process could be more valid though; in my games almost all the fish have a decent amount of aggression in them.

would you mind commenting on the balancing part?

My thoughts on this hands were:
edit, I just realized how the HH shows me being CO, whereas I actually was UTG. Maybe thats noteworthy.

Flop:
My actual range when the action gets to me on flop is pretty narrow either way like {1/3 TT+, AQs}, of which I´m raising rarely anything with 100BB stacks. wa/wb, no hurry to build a pot and depending on my perceived preflop range I think Im repping a wider range by flatting. Flop texture eliminates almost every possible drawing hand except 78, so a raise would almost turn my hand into a poor bluff. In order to be raising balanced, Id need to at least call 3bets wider and then be raising with 99/JJ/78/QQ-AA/AQs?

hand 2, obviously 3-bet preflop obviously bet turn

Hand 1 everyone agrees we never fold, but I'm interested in peoples thoughts on best line on turn?

My thoughts before I read other replies.


Hand 1: I think I play it same. If I have a note that villian spazzes if checked to, then I'll try c/r line maybe. His line, if not a flush also, is one I've seen several times lately with AQ or KQ with a heart. Odd line to me, but seems to be standard for some peeps.

Hand 2: Like the reasoning pre, but I still 4 bet here usually. And if we 4 bet. Is this a player that we will ship it if he 5 bets?
CIB flop? May get pot a lil bigger, that seems to be yours anyway.

Hand 3: I think I bet turn here for value. He has mid PP and AQ type a lot I think.

hand 1: i like your line. i'm not crazy about going for a c/r here because i think villain checks back way too many pair + big heart hands.

hand 2: way too fancy, just 4bet. HU its ok, but w/ someone left to act who will be IP and have great odds preflop its just bad.

hand 3: standard. i don't get what people are saying about charging turn draws really. those are such a small part of his range and he is way more likely to look us up light on the river than on the turn.
