he calls so do i just auto give him? and i should have cbet like i did right

i'm not 3betting this out of position. not even calling the raise. as played i think the Cbet is correct play, his call/call makes his hand seem like he has an implied odds hand (small PP's or SC's) so this is a perfect flop for you

I'd either bet slightly smaller on the flop or c/f, you identified his flop calling range problem is that range is very similar to his PF calling range. His PF range is probably like 88+JTs,QJs,AJ+ which he's folding AK/AQ on the flop, maybe 88 and probably nothing else.

spenda is their an article you could forward me to on cbetting 'cause you preach doing it less, and i've tried to pick my spots better, but i still have trouble seeing eye to eye with you sometimes

I'm far more inclined to 3-bet oop with AQ than in postion. But that's because I love situations where I have position on some clown who has KQ on a Q high board.

The only thing I don't like is the c-bet on the flop.

Mostly because you committed 1/3rd of your stack without the intention of getting it in... How oftend did you think the c-bet was going to work in a 3bet pot there?

I think with no reads your calling the flop range for Opp is a little tight. A lot more than TP/overpair calls this pre and on the flop. Also, Start experimenting with smaller Cbets in 3bet pots, and try to think more about smaller two barrels here too. If you always Cbet 2/3 and C/F turns in 3bet pots you may want to think about it a bit.

you're range seems pretty good.. probably add 99 and TT as spenda said. im not sure villian is calling TT after preflop action though..

i like a c/r on that flop.. if i do cbet this flop, probably with position, i like the bet size, but dont mind it being a bit smaller, like $4.. because thats probably the amount id bet on that dry board with hands like AJ, KJ, and QQ+..

How much smaller of a bet. 1/2 pot? Even less?

I prefer a bigger 3-bet if you are going to do it all. I actually don't like the 3-bet so much but without reads, its impossible to tell.

What range does he call with if we 3-bet AQ? How does it fare on that flop? If it fares well.. don't c-bet. Like Spenda said.

If you are going to c-bet, what's your plan for the turn if he calls? Its not to barrel, then you probably should not take that line.
