When trying to build a BR or even if you have a sufficient bank roll, do you feell that switching back and forth between Limit and No Limit Rings, SnG's, MTT's, turbo's, etc. hurts your overall play. Should newbies pick a game and stay with it? I generally play SnG's and MTT's so i was more interested in that side of the question especially switching between turbos and regular....
If you're playing to strictly make money, stick to one game. If you're playing to learn the game, stick to one game. If you're playing for fun and the money or becoming better doesn't matter, then I say play whatever you feel like playing.
Look back at all the types of games you have played and figure out which one you have done best at and concentrate on that if you want to be serious.

If you're new to poker, pick one game and stick with it. That said, I really don't play many variations. I usually just stick to Texas, either FL or NL, cash or tourney. Once in a while I'll get a hair up my ass and play 2-7 triple draw. I rarely play Omaha and I hate Stud. But yeah, playing too many different games when starting out could hinder your growth.
My guilty pleasure is Razz. I would never play it for serious money, and I am really not that good at it. But I think it's a lot of fun.Quote:
