I never know whether to 3bet JJ- I don't think a lot of 2NLers have 3bet calling ranges that go far below that- but at the same time, I am on the button.

At the time I was thinking he can't have hit that board besides TT AT and AK AQ AJ of spades- but I think that's a reason for me to call, right? If it was a semi-bluff w the spade draw than I should float? (or get take the money now w a raise?), I don't want to get it in against the TT- the AT is the only hand I'd be getting real value out of, right?

I just really couldn't justify cbetting oop when this so clearly misses my 3bet range unless I'm repping an overpair. At the same time, it probably didn't hit villain either. Should I have cbet it?

I hate this hand

Hand 1 with JJ i would have 3bet preflop to try and narrow it down to a hu situation and it would probably give me a better clue as to what villian is holding. I do like your 3bet on the flop but you imo if you were gonna 3 bet there you should have just shoved because no matter what came on the turn you were gonna put it in the middle. Oh and you forgot to add pocket 3's and 4's and even Q's. Also as dumb as this sounds 5-6s and even 3-4s (SB) its 2nl man you gotta be ready for any and everything.

Hand 2 i would have raised to hopefully take the power of the button and if UTG reraised i would have instantly folded. I never limp anymore i'm raising or im folding. As far as the rest of the hand goes i would have done the same thing you did most likely but i would have put in a valuebet on the river. I would have made it low probably like 30 or 40 cents just in case he has top pair and missed the gutshot straight or he had Q-10 and missed his straight but still has tp. or he missed the flush draw and wont call anyway. I mean if he raises then i wouldnt stack off but i would call his raise up to around the pot because it could be a bluff.

Hand 3 i would have fired another pot sized bullet. If he wants to keep calling for the flush so be it and i'm repping trip queens and it appears i am unafraid of the K by firing another bullet.

Hand 4 i would have C-bet and repped a overpair. I wonder what he smoothed called you with?!?!

I think it's important to post a lot of hands that give you trouble, so I really appreciate that I keep getting quality answers from all you guys

In what situations would flatting the flop in hand 1 be more profitable?

hand 1: jesus let's not get into the playing JJ IP PF discussion again. most regs agree that flatting is correct at these limits because you should be able to call a 4b when 3b'ing for value IP and a 4b at these limits is QQ+.

def don't raise the flop because nothing worse continues unless they're a huge fish. even if they're a huge fish we don't have great equity against their calling range. just call and shove safe turns

hand 2: always raise pre with broadways. as played PSB the flop because it's soaking wet and we have a vulnerable hand. as played we can shove over the turn raise against most fish. we have every two pair dominated and we can expect to see a lot of top pair and top pair+draw type hands. your hand is never going to improve with a river card, right? and you're gonna call a river bet anyway, right? so we might as well get it in while our hand has its best equity/when draws are gonna be most tempted to call.

hand 3: def cbet because of the exact logic you used. i don't know about barrelling the turn because the K isn't gonna scare anything but split pairs and we have half the split pairs beat. i think just check it down for SD value. we only wanna double barrel in spots where it folds hands that were overpairs and TP's on the flop but are now split and MP's. in this case Q's are never folding and there's nothing between a Q and a K. river is either a fold or a bluff and we need reads on villain to ever consider bluffing this river because so many people call with A- and J-high.

hand 4: you're not reppin' anything on the turn but it still folds out hands against certain opponents (namely ones that PFR/call w QJo and then fold on the turn when it still hasn't hit without considering ranges). so it's opponent dependent.
