100NL, KK, deep

This is actually a 6-max table where everyone else had sat out. This happens a bit at my current site, so as a result I have a reasonable sample on villain at HU. He's 46/24, and plays around 33/10 at 6max.

HU he flats a lot preflop, likes to float on early streets and then take it away with heavy bets later on. Any sign of weakness (like checking the turn after betting the flop) and he gets very aggro. I'd had a pretty bad run of cards leading up to this and he had been beating on me a bit.

Why are you going all in? If we bet 1/3 pot, our hand would be more like AK and stop his action with a weaker A.

does Ax call my 4bet pre? AK/AQ yes, AJ probably, but the rest?

i tossed up 4betting bigger pre, which might have narrowed down his range, but probably doesn't make this spot any easier because he would still have a few Ax hands in there

It is less likely he has AK since we are holding 2 of the Ks. I am unable to make any comments on stats so, I am not sure if he calls weaker than AQ,AJs. Anyways, AQ and AJ are enough for us to not to make a strong bet on this flop. If we decide to check the flop and flat both turn and river, it may be more costly than betting 1/3 flop.

If he goes apeshit when you check you can still get stacks in pretty easy without betting the flop and it keeps 100% of his range in when he takes initiative on later streets.

That's pretty results oriented thinking. Do you fold AA on a 972 board because we'll lose our stack if he has 99? He has way to many hands other than Ax and AA in his range to make b/fing a good play.

Actually, I'm not sure i bet the flop at all since this is a classic WA/WB. So making him take initiative and value betting the part of his range that we're ahead of seems best. (i.e. 9's-Q's) Plus, he'll bluff with hands that c/f the flop. BOOM! Now we don't have to worry about getting raised/bluffraised on the flop AND he's putting money in the pot with second best hands. Yeah, he'll have AQ here sometimes and stack us for 200BB's and we'll cry like bitches for being a calling station. But if you make him take lines that keep his range as wide as possible there's nothing much more you can do.

well the board is not 9 7 2 and we are not holding AA. I want to see the showdown and I want to do it as cheap as possible because the board is dirty. I will still make profit if he has QQ and JJ. What is your plan if you don't bet the flop?

Checking this down is so ridiculously exploitable against anyone that can ramp up the aggression when he smells weakness.

Checking behind is fine and then either call or bet turn.

BTW when I joined FTR my avatar was also A-Team.

Just check and see what he does on the turn.
