Villain is 25/18/3 w/ 25% A2S from SB. Not that my notes apply to BvB, but here they are.
Notes: will 3bet w/BU & then cbet A high flop and give up on turn, fold to 1/2 PSB on riv
flat AQs to MP raise then CR NFD+1over normal size
will call turn lead in orphan w/whif AK

How'd I do? Worried my river shove is too thin for the 100NL Pstars nit festival. I just don't think he has that many snap calling hands in his range(AA,55,A5,K5s,65s) but I don't know if I get paid by AK/AQ often enough to justify shoving? Would a river MR/Fold line be better or maybe just a flat call? Metagame applies as I have 300 hands on him which means I must play with him fairly often considering my low volume but consistent session times.

The problem with this kind of spot is that you have a worse hand than villain is afraid you have. So you're raising for value here with A9 when villain thinks you have 5x (albeit.. they are pretty much the same thing here).

I think a smaller raise could be ok, and probably get more stubborn calls from AK/AQ type stuff. Maybe make it 56 or something.

But by all means if he's gonna think "zomg he missed his spades" then a shove is good. Depends on villain ofc.

Probably shove since your hand is good a huge share of the time and you don't really have much reason to think he rarely calls with his worse hands, and you can get some useful information based on how he responds. (e.g., thinks forever and then folds, he probably folded a decent ace, calls immediately with an ace, folds instantly, was probably bluffing and may have been uncomfortable about it; all are pretty interesting in terms of how he thinks) Plus, I think looking like a nit yourself against regulars is not a good thing in general.

Not remotely thin, you just won't get paid off that often, will have to rely on the villain making a bad river call with ak/aq/aj.
