SUH4PRESIDENT
SUH lost
godddammmit
at least they covered, money money money!
Insuhnity amirite?
Sigh...So what exactly has Texas done to deserve to lose in the National Championship game?
And FFS if McCoy gets the Heisman I'm never watching CFB again.
Cart and Tebow shouldn't even be invited to NY
Gerhart
Ingram
Moore
Spiller
Suh
wtf is going on in this thread?

Explain to me how this ending (at the 2:20 mark) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZZfo0nfvfs was any different from the Texas Nebraska game.
Also, Suh might be the best college player of the decade, I understand all the Tebow/McCoy arguments, but this is a guy that is clearly a man amongst boys. I'm not sure if he's the best I've had the pleasure of watching (another Cornhusker, I'm sure you know who) but he is definitely up there.

0:45 is just lol
Spenda it's not really any different. It's just that officiating is widely inconsistent. Think about field goals. They take 4 seconds like every time, 5 at the max for like 60 yarders, yet 5-6 seconds are always run off on a field goal. An extra second typically runs off on incompletions as well for some reason. Pretty ridiculous.
lol FSU was ranked 18th? is there some sort of unwritten rule that at least 3 teams from the ACC have to be ranked on any given week? i'd be interested in seeing the last time that conference won an out-of-conference game against a team that ended the season ranked.Quote:

After watching Suh play my horns, I am very, very scared of Suh.
Top 3, if not #1 overall pick worthy kind of player. HOLY CRAP. It's not often a DT takes over not only a defense, but an entire game. WOW
i want himQuote:

I haven't looked at the stats, but I'm going to assume that Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy have had statistically worse seasons than most of the other 8 QBs for the Top 10 teams. What a fucking joke.
you'd be pretty wrong, they're both top-20 in QB Rating, Colt is 6th in the nation in yards and 8th in TDs. Tebow has only thrown for 18TDs (38th in the nation) but has run for 800+ yards and another 13 touchdowns. Don't forget sacks count against your run total as well, so w/ 25 sacks he might have been closer to 1,000 rushing yards.
Also, FUCK TEBOW AND MCCOY
so sick and tired of them both, the fact that Tim was invited to NY for the Heisman is ridiculous. Taking Tebow over Spiller and/or Kellen Moore is silly.
Close... Can't get the stats to copy/ paste, but you can sort these any way you want and see that neither of them really deserve to be there.Quote:

Yea I said that w/o thinking about the other Top 10 offensive schemes. Their seasons are very similar to the other passing offenses in the Top 10, Cin., Boise, and TCU. Point is, wtf Heisman voters.Quote:

Yes that equals 13 not b/c the WAC has a conf. championship, but b/c they played @Hawaii which is a frisbee scheduling-wise.
Well if SoS is the issue then McCoy's numbers don't really mean much either. McCoy played two great defenses this year and put up flat out bad numbers, and did very little to secure the victory of his team. The OU game, he throws what probably should have been a pick-6 at the most crucial moment of the game. The Nebraska game he throws yet another interception as his team is driving late in the 4th to put the game away...also almost blowing the entire season on a throw away. Texas wins its two biggest games of the year in spite of McCoy's poor play. The rest of his games were against avg-bad defenses. His "Heisman moment" comes in a shootout against an atrocious A&M defense. I can't really speak for Tebow's competition bc I don't watch SEC football that often, but McCoy didn't do anything special imo.
The Heisman (and NFL MVP) formula goes something like this: best QB or RB on a good/great team. The Heisman has mostly been dominated by QB's lately, but using that formula, I think Ingram wins it. I really don't follow college football that much though so I really don't know who deserves it the most.

And those stats don't even tell the whole story...
When they make me king I will demand they change the qualifications for the Heisman to read the Best Offensive Player in College Football... I know that everyone who knows anything about sports knows that to be the case, but it still tilts the shit out of me to listen to announcers say "Best Player in College Football".
Also wtf is this...
Tag for ESPN's article announcing the Heisman Finalists: "Texas QB McCoy leads finalists for Heisman"
Then today's article is "Tebow invited to 3rd Heisman ceremony"....
Wow... fucking douchebags... i need some coffee... sweetened ever so slightly by Tim Tebow's tears....
I like his name. But I wouldn't call any of my kids like that.
What is worse in your opinion
A. A voter who sent in his vote before Saturday's conf. championship games
B. A voter who based his decision solely on Saturday's conf. championship games.
We're in great shapeQuote:

A, because the B voter would either go Ingram or Suh and have a higher chance of giving it to an appropriate player.Quote:

We all hate the Tebow of a thousand ESPN highlights, not the Tebow that cried after losing his final shot at college glory... please.

Are you operating under the assumption that they'll take a QB? I realize that is what most people expect, and likely what will happen but, imo... it's so fucking stupid to do this it makes me want to cry....Quote:
