I woke up at 3pm today.
I enjoyed it.
I slept 11 hours and now my head feels like a marshmallow.
I have yet to figure out why somebody who beats poker would attend school or find employment elsewhere.
I mean, push come to shove, just grind your ass off and make a million then call it a day. The hard part (for me at least) is simply just wanting to do it
I dunno, this thread is mostly untrue for me. I need the structure and education my schooling provides to be as efficient as I can be, and the effort I'd have to put forth to make a million playing poker would be far less rewarding than what I'm pursuing now.
Beat. Ordered the wrong book.
Nah, making a million playing poker is super rewarding!Quote:

Just got a full time job a month ago...waking up at 7am is pretty crappy but at least if I take bad beats at work I still get paid. Ultimately I would like to get a good part time job with flexible hours and play poker part time as well. Another benefit is I have started enjoying playing poker again.
Guarantee that you're not as lazy as I am and it's not even close. I'm like the smartest person in the history of the planet, but I don't give a shit. I'm basically that good will hunting genius janitor apples guyQuote:

I'm pretty sure this is the worst post in the history of internet.Quote:

I'd be willing to bet that you're not even the smartest poster in this thread.Quote:

I pretty much have the best job ever so it's all good.
IMO to retire comfortably at age 30 you'd need at least 5mQuote:

College starting up again means cheap ass pool and silly poker tourneys.
It also means my friends will be back and we can start playing in a league. Im fuckin stoked.
This thread is now about how much YOU SUX!
OH LOOK AT ME! IM A DERP DE DERP DA DERP!
That's you, btw. That's totally something you say.
I quit my full time job on December 31st and I've been waking up close to 12 pm every day since. I've only been awake for a couple hours but I feel so sleepy and really wanna go back to bed...
College sucks less when you're the one giving and not receiving.
Grades, I mean.
I went back to school in August and I'm happy I did. If you sit at home all day it's easy to convince yourself that you're super smart and awesome, but if you actually work hard at anything you'll no doubt run across plenty of people who are smarter than you are. I mean, being a pro poker player was fun and I did all right but it eventually got to be so monotonous that I could actually tell I was getting dumber from not using my mind enough.
"The man whose whole life is spent in performing a few simple operations, of which the effects are perhaps always the same, or very nearly the same, has no occasion to exert his understanding or to exercise his invention in finding out expedients for removing difficulties which never occur. He naturally loses, therefore, the habit of such exertion, and generally becomes as stupid and ignorant as it is possible for a human creature to become. The torpor of his mind renders him not only incapable of relishing or bearing a part in any rational conversation, but of conceiving any generous, noble, or tender sentiment, and consequently of forming any just judgment concerning many even of the ordinary duties of private life." - Adam Smith
I'm so bored in this fucking house. I need to go back to school already.
P.S. I'll hate school after the first week.
this most likely lolQuote:
