So I've finally got firefox. I went to the add-ons page and there's like 10,000 different add-ons. I can no way be assed to look through those. Any suggestions of worthwhile ones and what they do? Or are they mostlygimmicky and a waste of time?

adblock plus - the best addon you'll ever use
This^^
and:
AutoPager - in forums, news sites, almost anything where you have to click from one page to the next it autoloads the next page inline so you just keep scrolling down. completely awesome except with 50 pages of failblog loaded at once it really takes up lots of memory.
Coral IE Tab - lets you load a page using the IE engine in a single tab, just for those sites that need IE (not many of those left except windows update)
DownloadHelper - download internet videos to your hard drive
GoogleEnhancer - just what it says, adds lots of enhancements that i wish were there already
NoScript - Good for the security concerned, annoying if you aren't. it blocks all scripting from running on any site until you allow it, either permanantly or temporarily. This breaks lots of sites until you do this allow.
SearchPreview - Adds a mini screenshot to the search results on google, yahoo and bing.
Xmarks - synchronize bookmarks between browser on multiple machines. i also like it for the backing up of my bookmarks. i know they have this for firefox and for chrome, not sure for other browsers.
I use personas to make my browser look coooooool. All the kids are doing it.
The add ons are kinda cool I guess, but none of the ones I've seen really seem worth bothering with, and I'm guessing everything you add slows it down a little.
The personas on the other hand, those I kinda like.
Adblock Plus: why I use FireFox over any other browser
ForecastFox: put weather updates in status bar, extremely customizable
Download Statusbar: get rid of the annoying pop-up box and watch downloads at the bottom of the browser
If you're on a laptop with a small screen right-click and hide the menu bar, you can bring it up by taping <Alt>
DownThemAll!: download all images/movies/songs/pdfs in a page
They are insanely useful if you
