What's new and what's good in the last 6 months?
Biffy Clyros new album is pretty good.
Corteeners new album is v good.
bump, c'mon nerds
Wish I could help ya, I never left he 90's for my music tastes.
Blood Red Shoes - Fires Like This
The Films - Oh, Scorpio
The Dead Weather - Horehound
I haven't been able to get into The Dead Weather yet. Jack White is easily one of my favorite musicians of all time, so I really tried to like Horehound.
I just don't like the lead chick.
Then again I don't like most female rock singers.
Guess it depends. I love all the stuff she does with Jamie Hince as "The Kills" and if you ever get into TDW def check out their tunes as well.
Broken Bells - Broken Bells
James Mercer, the frontman from The Shins, and Danger Mouse. Ridiculously good album but that wouldn't be a surprise to fans of either or both.
Obligatory Youtube link: Broken Bells - The High Road
Delphic - Acolyte
Pretty standard electronica-inspired indie music along the same vein as recent Bloc Party or Klaxons. No bad thing when it's done as well as this.
Obligatory Youtube link: Delphic - Doubt
Massive Attack - Heligoland
If you're a fan of Massive Attack you'll like it. If you've heard but didn't like them previously you probably won't. In as much as I mean there isn't any great departure from their sound, but it's definitely one of the better examples of their style.
Obligatory Youtube link: Massive Attack - Babel
FWIW as much as I like Stylo, the new Gorillaz album Plastic Beach hasn't grown on me yet.
New Gorillaz is good stuff
Other than the penneywize's post I haven't heard of any of these bands.
Plastic Beach is def growing on me. I love everything else gorillaz has done.
YouTube - V V Brown - Shark In The Water
holy shit she is hotttttt
