10NL, mini 3-bet from ABC tag, blind vs button

Villain is 17/13/2 with 3% 3-bet over 117 hands.

Preflop, the 3-bet is so small that it looks OK to call hoping to flop 2pr or good draw etc, even though I think he's on a value 3-bet range.

We flop top pair, not what I wanted, but I'm ahead of AK which is half his value range, so I just call. At this point the plan is to check down bricks and muck if he bets big.

The K turn kills his range so I give up.

Do you play this differently? Would you ever fold preflop? Thx.

I probably fold pf every time with this hand vs this guy.

I'm a 10NL player, and I think you played it well. I'd probably fold the preflop 3-bet if it was a little larger -- is he trying to induce a reraise? But the call is fine, I think. He's probably going to be C-betting a lot, so I think the flop call is ok.

How often were you blind stealing against this guy? I'm trying to put him on a range, and the more I think about it, the more the preflop 3-bet looks like a fold.

Hmm this spot is interesting given you are both > 155bbs
Given pot odds and position semi deep stacked I like a call, hoping to get lucky and get his stack.
I like your flop reasoning as well, top pair is fine to call once with because he doesnt look very bluffy so will likely give up his AK after one bet, leaving you to check it down.
After the king comes you can't beat anything and you correctly c/f. NH

Looks fine to me. Preflop is an easycall for this pirce with these stacks proivided you realise your game plan is to mine 2 pair/trips/strights etc vs his strong range and not stackoff with top pair.

I'd peel one on this flop (you have some equity to improve bdfd, 2 pair and trips outs and are often ahead) and plan to fold to turn bets. Fold the river - he either has SD value with a worse hand (JJ TT etc) or has a better hand, hence his bluffing frequency is rediculously low on this river, sizing is very valuey given his line, snap fold.
