10NL - TPTK issues

Villain was 15/9/2 over 382 hands, Fv3B 60% over a sample size of 5.
fwiw, villains name was like "23489723"...bot?

I was betting a bit smaller than I normally would to encourage QQ and KK to call, and avoiding paying rake for a split pot vs. AK.

Are we calling river?

I'm calling. If he hit a set and filled up on the turn then that's poker, but it looks like a line for a busted FD or straight draw. Your check OTR may have induced a bluff or he could be trying to get some value from hands like QQ, KK.

tbh not sure if a c/c or c/f is best, would have to stove some ranges.

You don't need very much equity to call this but I don't know if he's doing this often, if ever, with hands you're ahead of. I think KK, QQ check back almost always and AQ checks back some of the time.

I think I'm leaning towards a c/f given that this guy seems a bit weak/tight.

yeah, I got thrown for a loop thinking that there's a good chance he is taking the same line w/ AK too

In this spot, I'd like to jam and make monies. Unfortunately, I jam and lose monies. So, I think I agree with kfaess on this one.

his 3bet calling range includes practically zero hands with a lone 10 in them but does include a lot of hands we're beating on the end, basically we get to the river in this spot where our opponent is probably not calling a jam all that often but we have the best hand pretty much every time. In the end we'll just let them figure out what to call us with.

Let's say he calls a river shove with the following range, AJs+, AQo+, TT, 99, JTs

So on a $9 shove we're making like $1.80 and that's if he's not raising 99/TT/Tx on the flop/turn. Also, re c/c'ing, there's just a few hands that even come close to making sense that he'd bluff here, QJs being the obvious one but those hands will fold the turn a decent % of the time if they aren't QdJd, KdJd, KdQd.

Yeah this is between jamming and calling and I would jam.

i think i want to jam the river. the fact that he hasn't raised at any (postflop) point in the hand makes me think we'll have the best hand >50% of the time, and there are few hands in his range which he is likely to turn into bluffs if we check to him OR worse hands in his range he that attempts to value bet.

interesting hypothetical, say he never folds a better hand on the river and never calls with a worse one, but we guarantee he folds AK to a jam

is a shove +EV?

i would to jam the flop. vill's 3bet calling range probably AK,AQ, AJs, QQ,JJ, TT,99. So after flop we tie his 4 combos of AK beat his 22 combos of AQ(8,)AJs(2),QQ(6),JJ(6) and lose TT(3) and 99(3). But even if i check on the river would call since only 25% equity is needed.

If we are going to assign a range that wide, which is an argument for another day...we definitely need to weight hands like AJ/99/TT very light, and JJ/AQ lighter than QQ+/AK
