I think we would have more value betting less on this river. Hes still folding the bottom of his range to £13.75/$14.25.

I don't get what's folding the river after bet/calling the turn that we don't beat at showdown? Do you know it's not a considered a bluff just because you have less than TP?

I don't think he's betting this turn very thin so I would just call or fold.

When he calls the turn if he folded to the river bet I'm betting you had the best hand.

When he bets (and I call), I was pretty sure that he will bet the river again (because my hand will look like JJ, TT and he can easily bluff me, and because he was kinda aggro) = so if I have some SD value, hand will not get into SD. So at first I wanted to fold, but then I realized he can't have KK, QQ, I'm blocking some JT and he will not have many 9x (= he has very few nutted hands and if he 3bets me I can easily fold) and I can very credibly rep 9x (more than 40 combos). So I decided use that TT as 6 outs semibluff

i don't see how this is a bluff... but bluffing on this is pretty bad imo bad board texture and everything

I would just VB this hand and bet like 7-9$ since he is calling with worse a lot

But your calling it a bluff, and then saying he can't have anything that beats you? The purpose of a bluff is to get him to fold either a better hand or his equity. What hands is he folding to this bluff that beats you?

I think this is a pretty solid thought process, obv the problem being that it's a big ask for him to fold Kx.

But imo you need to start thinking about this on the flop, the turn was a great card for our hand yet we still end up taking a weird semibluffing line.

I'd just fold the turn since our equity isn't great and we get value towned/bluffed on quite a few rivers, but I might be too nitty in these spots.

Raising turn then near potting a blank river reps 9x or air. His range to bet/call turn is mostly made hands and on this river I think we get looked up pretty often.

If you think his aggression is such that he's going to bluff the river frequently then why not just call turn and call blank rivers?

what do you think his preflop range is? What part of this range do you think bets the turn once you show weakness and check back flop?

What would you do if you had Q8ss?

- He was still kinda unknown and I leveled myself about his tendencies. I still like the raise, but I should raise w/ different hand and not vs unknown like him

i like it and i think TT is the best possible hand to do it with-yall are nuts. I think your sizing should have been to 10-11 on turn and 3/4 pot river

Just because TT is the 'best hand' in terms of blockers to straights and 9T to run this bluff with, doesn't make it a good bluff.

Given that you block straights, and that he has less straights, also makes it more likely that he plays all his 9x this way (including c/c river).

its not important whether or not we agree its a good bluff. explain how tt isnt the best hand to do it w/ though.

Yah I mean I don't disagree that TT is the best hand to do it with. It's definitely the best hand to run this bluff with.

QQ is also the best hand to run a triple barrel bluff with on a KKAAx board.

Just sayin' the thread is just titled 'like this bluff?", not "like the hand I chose to bluff with, assuming I must bluff?"

tt is obv the best hand to do this with assuming call twice with TT is -ev which is prob is
