T9s IP early in session
i joined this guy's table. he had ~260bb when i sat. didnt check where he was from. this hand was pretty early in the session. my impression of him was that he was weakish - somewhat tight but also passive - he had folded to something like 2/3 3bets (and folded IP to my CB on either 776r or 887r the time he flatted), and he seemed to be flatting my opens with a weakish range - rarely 3betting. he likely sees me as somewhat aggro preflop and post.

I don't think passive double-barrel this board with 98-
Raising instead of calling might be interesting, but I'd probably fold here.

with your description of villain I don't see how you can think of doing anything but folding

You could really just fold that flop. If I think he's 3bet bluffing pre enough I'm calling flop and turn and then (sadly) soulreading river, but probably folding.
