Calling flop is ok, since he is probably donking 77/99 fairly often, 99 especially. I'd fold to any more aggression though and I would probably just check it down. Maybe gaybet the river.

I think you played it fine. I'm not looking to screw around with these single digit VPIP guys too often. I think you are good here a fair bit given the description of him but I don't think a raise at any point is going to accomplish much.

Oh new opinion. I thought 66+ beat by all of it but he showed up with A7s. I think he sometimes has TP on the flop, but i really doubt he bets it on this river.

So against that range reraise is -EV? So keeping in mind small hands means small pot, the call is the better option. He could betting 77/99/JJ on the flop, hands you beat, the turn check is good, keeping the pot small. On the river you're beat, JJ now have made a straight, fold. Nice played.

Thats why i sometimes check my opponents stats, when i have a small sample and make a note if it's much different as to my PT stats.

What about some kind of system where only people with 25 posts+ can bump threads and other posts just leave it where it is. No idea whatsoever if this is practical, but if easy to do, this would limit damage if FTR is actually unable to prevent these spammers joining and doing this...

turn seems like a pretty easy bet/fold

he's typically betting hands that beat you here and a lot of check/call hands will have pretty decent equity so let's protect our hand. If he check/calls and then checks a blank river we can debate value betting.

am I the only one thinking of raising the flop? We have to discount monsters that'd often c/r, and if our image is even a little bad, he could get stubborn with a pair, and we get more value from JJ/QQ that could easily shutdown on a lot of turns.

I mean just cuz he's been a preflop nit over a tiny sample doesn't mean he's gunna be a massive postflop nit.

I mean I think it's close, raisingbig/shoving has its merits too

we're getting 3:1 on a call, have to be good 25% of the time to break even and we get to see his hand, oooooooooo it's so fun to see what they actually have. It's definitely close, I'd disagree with someone saying it's not close. Had he insta-potted it, then yea it's not close.

I will say calling in my mind is the worst of the 3 options, if I were to proceed I'd raise a large percentage of the time, sigh and fold next, and call last. I'd have bet the turn though.

This for sure, as played on flop anyway. I doubt I'd bet the turn if he called a raise on the flop though. I agree that calling river to see his hand has merit, but only if we think we're gonna be playing against this guy in the future. I don't think we're good come river anywhere near enough to call profitably, so if we're calling we need to use our note profitably. We're only beating a bluff on the river, I can't see him value betting worse here, so is he bluffing >25% of the time? I can't see it myself.
