10/20: three good flops

Thought I'd break the silence here with a few hands from last week. Give me a plan or discuss alternative lines for each hand. Assume 100bb deep. My image is fairly solid.

Hand 1: UTG is a good tag reg. MP is loose but mostly unknown.

1) Obviously possible lines are to either raise or call. I like call here. His sizing is strong, and we won't get better to fold on this board with a raise.

2) I'd cbet a regular amount here. $70-90 seems fine on such a dry board

3) I'd bet very small here, just like i would with bluffs. $90-120 probably. Checking looks suspicious, and showdowny.

1- call seems better for your range here, and esp with this hand
2- cbet, 90$ seems fine
3- prob the only hand where a check seems okay, as I think you're getting a fold 90% of the time here. I'd cbet A9T though.

Yeah the flop in hand three of course isn't very good for us at all, but I prefer a cbet myself because it improves the chances of getting three streets value. It also slightly decreases the likelihood of not stacking another big hand.

I'd like a clear read that villain would bet turn and river hard as standard if I check, in order to check.

I'll give others a chance to post before fast forwarding the hands.

I agree with everyone else, except I would bet $80-90 on hand 3

1. I really cant think of many compelling reasons to raise over call or vice versa so no comment.

2. I think you have to bet. If you check here you're going to be put on a monster hand when you raise on turn or river to a bet. Cbetting reps the most air.

3. Close one. I'd check. I think this is a situation where you're basically never going to get c/red as a bluff and you're rarely going to get hero called on double and triple barrels. Plus you have all the Ace combos.

The reason I bet 3 is cause it's bvb, and I think villain can be calling more aces OOP (AT,AJ, AQ stuff) sometimes. If people might peel offsuits of those hands vs you pre, then there's still a reasonable combo of top pair hands that might c/c down.

Meh, disagree.

BvB AQ is gonna go 4b/call, sometimes AJ with dynamics. And then people often use Ax blockers to 4b bluff. So only Ax that will call is like AT/AJ and we have ace blockers making that part of his range v.small.

Vs a cbet, low pairs will snap fold, and there aren't even many combos with outs that he can float/bluffraise with on this flop --> On A9x, x being >9, this scenario changes quite a bit and id cbet there close to 100%.

I guess I'd still cbet this vs passives because they won't bluff us a lot on turns/rivers like P4 said, but otherwise check seems good, most of the time.

Hand 1 he seems to like his hand a fair amount to bet full pot... I would raise a normal cbet here but this PSB coming from a good TAG is super alarming. I think flatting is a decent option because we basically have a FD + position, not even counting TPGK, but the only non-spade we like to see on the turn is a Q. I think raising the flop to get it in probably isnt terrible, especially if we do fold out overpairs or AQ sometimes (seems unlikely though)... Is it terrbile that I'm considering just clicking fold to this bet? Essentially we have a FD and a 2pair draw, but we're very rarely ahead with TPGK right now. In-game my fold % here is ~0% though, I'd probably be flatting.

Hand 2 cbet ~90? seems like an uninteresting hand, unless future action dictates the post of the hand now.

Hand 3 kind of ul to flop the deck cold here, but I think vs most players w brain cells that checking would set off bigger alarms then betting, so I probably go ~145 OTF and if you get called I bet an amount on the turn that makes it look like you could still fold to a shove.

Does everyone raise this small pre at these ante games? I think it's insanely exploitable.

I would bet all three of these.

1. 295 (sometimes I would check this back, if I thought they were very capable of a c/bomb here)

2. 90

3. 250 (most of this calling range on the flop will c/c turn and river, or will fold to a bet/ck/bet line regardless probably)

Hand 1: I want to bet $250.

Hand 2: I'd flat the turn and do whatever you think will make him spazz the most on the river, maybe lead $20 again.
