I'll get right to it. Recently I haven't been doing a damn thing to become a better poker player. I'm thoroughly disappointed in myself of late. I have not one excuse except the simple truth that I've been pretty stinking lazy.

i'll be hitting study again in the new year, until then (from tomorrow) i'll be taking a few days off and out of internet range.

Isolation and obsession with poker WHILE ALSO maintaining a reasonable amount of exercise, decent diet, and positive social network along with moderate drug intake (smoke a fucking joint or two here and there if your buddy offers... or at least meditate or something to achieve a slightly altered state from the usual fml grind) and a getaway hobby (i.e video game, read a book, travel, cook, something....) are key to poker success and monies.

If any of those gets out of balance, you're fucked. Don't slack on working hardest at poker though if that's where you want to really see results.

Geez, thanks guys for all the support. i really appreciate it. i had a hard time through the holidays, but I'm ready to rip it up now.

Its 4:37am on friday . I have just took my daily dose of 'get-up-get-along' :) I decided to start this mornings playlist w/ Modest Mouse - Missed the boat. Always seems appropriate no matter how I'm feeling.

I'll be leaving for work in a couple hours . It's payday, and every penny of my check is already spent. Ha, I'm from anthracite coal country , and I remember stories of hard working miners earning their meager wages, turning around (with no choice) and spending their pay in the general store that was of course owned by the coal company. What's funny is that nothing has changed. Now we get credit limits and Gucci bags, and we are free.

I'm so glad I have Poker to keep me insane.....
