Preflop I'm pretty much just set mining, I was going to fold before the SB came along and I would have been surprised if the unknown raised again, in which case I could quite happily fold.

OTF I'm quite happy to c/f, would be checking some of my Qx and 99 type hands so it doesn't turn my hand too face up. Would be betting some of my Qx, overpairs, maybe TJ.

OTT I'm just assuming that there is going to be enough left in the hand that people might call or shove with flush draws, straight draws, overpairs and obviously Qx. I don't think my sizing is great, but not really sure what to go for, ideally I'd like to shove on the river most of the time.

OTR I'm just a bit lost as to what to do, I was thinking I'd c/f to a big bet, my range looks fairly strong at this point so I don't think he'd be shoving anything that doesn't beat me, but that doesn't mean a random 2nl player isn't going to turn random crap into a bluff or even think hands like pocket pairs are good and bet or even think my turn bet was a bluff of some sort. Any small bets I'd probably be inclined to call.


Any major flaws in the line that I took?
Any comments on my turn sizing?
Any comments on how to deal with river bets?

(Yes I'm aware QQ is the actual nuts ott)

If you just want to set mine you shouldn't even cold call a reraise. But Jacks are stronger than that. Two queens on the flop, less likely someone has one, although there are 3 villains so still feasible. Flop I'd check too, no need to blow up the pot. Turn is fine, maybe a bit higher raise. River c/c.

I don't think the call with JJ is bad if that's what you're saying. I don't want to be 4betting against 3 virtual unknowns with JJ.

What hands are we getting value from that bet the river that aren't pure bluffs?

I don't think shipping is going to be a good idea. c/c is probably best, he isn't going to have a huge amount in his range that we fold out and we aren't going to get much value from worse hands.

I don't hate the cold call pre at 2nl pre to set mine, as you nearly always have the implied odds. I wouldn't particularly like it at 10nl upwards though.

Flop seems okay, turn sizing is good as we leave less than pot behind to jam river. River is marginal and not worth sweating about - I just jam it in and hope to get a crying call from hands we beat (pretty much only TT, but maybe 99 if he 3bets it and AJ for a chop). It's difficult for villain to have a butchered Qx here unless he's a real fish and KK+ presumably bets the flop. Again, don't sweat it.

I showed this hand to my friend (very good player) and he says you have to bet the river. The reason is that there is nothing he is going to bluff with anymore on this board so you can still get value from TTish hands. Fold if he shoves over it then he'll have you.

In the OP, your raise size on the turn is too low. His range is largely inelastic at this point.

what do people think about making an exploitable bet/fold of about $0.5 to ensure we get 77-TT,9x etc to make crying calls? this obviously assumes we never get bluffed, but i think that's a fair-ish assumption given the board texture and we could credibly bet quads small on the river too (?) from villains perspective. if we think we have >50% against his calling range just jamming then yeah that's clearly best, but i'm not convinced that's the case, he will still have some % of misplayed AQ/KQ/KK+ in his range when we get to the river imo

I'm not sure I agree with spoon on turn sizing (obv I'm aware it's me who's wrong though), simply because we don't want folds. I'd raise less because I want his Jx AK and pairs to call. The fact p2 didn't bet flop has me thinking he's on AK a lot of the time here. I'd bet 50c on river to enduce a crying call from his ace high. If raised, puke. I probably fish call because lol he checked the flop.

57/57 after 7 hands doesn't indicate fish to me. He's just been dealt 4 good hands since he joined the table imo. I'm pretty sure I was running at these exact stats after 7 hands yesterday after one orbit of a new table, I got 88 AKs AKo AJs first four hands (I posted blind in mp to try and get into milestone).

Is 4 betting for value pre here really bad?

Seems like 2 of the 3 players in this pot are likely to be fishy (button 3 bet sizing and stats despite the sample) and there will be huge value especially with the SB.

True original raiser's continuing range will likely crush us, but that also means he is folding a ton.
