Anyone willing to stake me for 4nl? On JuicyStakes; I have a laptop and internet access these days, but no bankroll and nothing but time to grind and I'd like to work my way back into the poker world from the bottom. We can work out details if someone is willing to stake me. I wasn't sure what the right forum was for this so if it's in the wrong spot, sorry.

how safe is your stakers money?nothing at all to do with you but lock reputedly owes the network millions, lock has now pulled out of 2+2, massive delays to getting paid and a number of skins have stopped players being able to play because they are not getting paid by the network rerportedly because of lock not paying the network which owns juicy, so if lock goes bust, it will put huge pressure on juicy's owners which could cause juicy to go bust. Also how long will it take for staker to get any profits back off.
Those are a couple of extra risks on top of normal staking risks. Don't you think it would also be a good idea when asking for a stake to show any stakers how likely they are to make a profit out of the risk they will be taking with their money.I.e your screennames , so that they can check to see if you have scammed previous stakers, your lifetime graphs , so that stakers can see if you are likely to be a winner or if they might just as well set fire to their money if you are a degenerate loser, some reference from people who have coached you or staked you in the past etc
"Who wants to lend me some money to play poker with" isn't a good way to actually get people to stake you and shows a complete disrespect for any people who may have staked you. You are the one looking to be staked , if you were really interested in the idea, you'd have looked into it in depth, done your research and presented a solid case making yourself an attractive staking proposition. And that doesn't mean lying and making up stats etc.
Also as rong pointed, there is a staking forum, posting in the BC just means that any tom dick and harry will think they can also ask to be staked and the bc will become swamped with people asking to be lent money.
Re posting in the wrong forum, it doesn't fill me with confidence that you'll win given you couldn't find the correct forum, whether through laziness or retardedness doesn't really matter.
I posted in BC, because it'd actually be seen I found the staking subforum and it looked like it hasn't been touched in a long time. I'd be more than willing to switch to a non-lock affiliated site, but must be a USA friendly. I agree I didn't come off in a good manner, but I felt like keeping it simple was at the time the correct choice and then discussing details if anyone would be interested in setting something up. I do apologize for that. I have been staked before, but this is a brand-new laptop(to me anyways) and I have no poker tracking software or any sort of graphs to access. I just kept it real simple, because I thought most of the people who still use this site would have known me from the past and all of the IRC chat back in the day. How likely are they to return a profit? There is no reason they shouldn't. I'm not a drooler trying to click buttons and maybe bink some cards, I'm just trying to get a little starting capital which is unavailable to me at the moment and with it becoming increasingly difficult to deposit in the USA, I thought I could get a stake.
Get a stake and pay it back + their profits until I have my own little stack to just go and grind with was my intention this wasn't by any means meant to be a long term thing nor any significant amount of money. Maybe 20-30 buyins at the lowest microstakes available on any NON-lock affiliated website, so I'm thinking bovada? So maybe 100-120 dollars at max. I'd pay every week on friday afternoon/night. I can provide any/all hand histories and details I would need to acquire as I played on the stakers money until stake is completed as I would save them on the laptop. Basically just looking for a short term loan with a profit margin for the staker, then I'd just go off on my own and grind again at the lowest level once I have a 100-120ish of my own and the staker is paid. I'm just trying to get a bankroll started and not grind out freerolls aimlessly for months. I apologize for my shitty first post, but I'd really appreciate if someone is willing to work with me and we can talk percents and how the payments will be handled. I'm not really looking for a staking to get me through the ranks or anything. Just looking to get a hundo of my own and then go off on my own, but I just need a little help.

The thing is, I wouldn't be comfortable staking someone who can't scrape $20 together to play themselves. No offence intended to you or anyone else but can't you get a part time job and just work one shift and quit or something. Surely that's doable.
You may think $20 is not enough to play with. But every time I've completely cashed out and so had to put money on at a later date or I've switched sites I've just put $20 on and grinded 2nl for 1 week and then been rolled for 5nl. If you can't beat 2nl just that easy then you are doing something wrong. And I am not good at poker. I deposit 20 bucks because I don't like exposing my own hard earned money to poker risk and also if I have to grind up from 2nl I will value my roll more when I move up.
There's no way you turn $20 into $100 in a week of grinding 2nl. Unless you're playing some pretty sick volume.Quote:

Does Bovada offer 2nl? Find a way to deposit $20 on there and grind it up. Surely you can come up with $20.
Bovada's lowest blinds for NLHE are 5NL.
Merge and Rev has 4nl, so WPN is the only network with 2nl? He can play there with $20 then cash out when he hits $100ish then move it to Bovada if he wants. I wouldn't deposit a single penny on a Rev skin and Merge is very questionable imo.Quote:

IDK, it just seems strange that if you cant afford $30-50 for poker that your solution is to get staked.....
4nl, let's say you get given $50 on a 70/30 split in backers favour.
Let's say you want to get $100 for yourself, that means all together you need to win $330. So you're essentially paying someone $230 dollars to lend you some petty cash.
Factor in the time that it takes to grind $330 at 4nl and that's just a ridiculous waste of your time.
Even on a 60/40 split, you have to win $250 dollars which is hardly something you can do instantly at 4nl.
tl;dr - get a job
