thoughts on donking the flop vs check raising it ? I donked smallish hoping that the droolers would call and CO may raise the flop and if the droolers did call then pot would get big fairly quickly and didn't want it to check around multiway.Similar thoughts for the turn and that left ~ half pot to get them both all in on river.

This feels like a really marginal call pre flop, to the point I would say it's a clear fold. How often are stacks getting in vs pfr when we bink? How often do we get two people all in when we bink? How often are we good when we're stacking off three way with a set? idk, I would just muck this pre because we're needing to get stacks in nearly all the time when we hit a set, and I just don't see that happening, bearing in mind the fish is only half stacked and pfr must have AK in his range.

Post flop I would sooner c/r than bet this amount. This feels all wrong... you're betting huge on the river after letting two people draw at a small price for two streets.

So anyway, you won a profit of $41, which means you got a little over 20:1 implied odds on the pre flop call. Seems to me you need to be stacking three way over half the time when we hit set. I really think this is an easy fold pre.

Wait we're 4handed, not 3, sb comes along. It's gonna be closer, but I'd still fold.

I dunno , min raise meant it was a cheap 3bet to call and full stacked SB drooler calling and me calling pretty much ensured that MP would call with his stats. Yeah and the 4handed with 2 droolers was why i went with the callable donk bet . If i bet something like $5 into the 8 then both droolers probably fold and if i go for the check raise 4 way , flop may check through.

Fold pre for sure. Call if stacks with fish were deeper.

As played, I'd rather check than lead this sizing on flop. Donk a legit size imo, or go for a c/r.

River feels somewhat thin given that it's CO TAG that has half a pot left. I guess there's not many options left given remaining stacks. I guess if he's the type that can't drop TPTK/AA then it's fine.

yeah , but the one fish that called pre was fully stacked . if i donk the $5.50 won't that just ensure that the droolers fold and leave me OOP against the 3betting TAG. Upside of that i guess is that he's not folding his AK AA type hands and may get one street out of his QQ JJ etc

edit: also think that the position of fish affected my thinking in this hand .....if CO and MP swapped seats and CO acts before the fish i think its a pretty clear check raise as he probably cbets , but my donk size and fish calling meant that CO was effectively facing an extra 5.50 donked into the pot but also a bigger potential pay off with his bighand with a stack and half to go after rather than just a stack.

If you're worried about droolers folding for a $5.50 bet then they aren't really droolers....?

Fold pre. I don't mind the lead sizing, but I prefer checking. Bet more on the turn.

if we bet more on the turn does MP's stack size screw things up though ?. if we bet $7 - 8 MP can shove the extra $3 and does that then look scary enough action for the full stack tag to fold and same thing with just putting the MP all in on the turn.

If you're worried about MP's shove on turn being a size that doesn't re-open the pot (ie: you bet 7 and he shoves like 3 more) then I would just bet enough to put him all-in, rather than this sizing.

I think the only two good options are to bet half his stack, so his shove re-opens betting or bet his entire stack, with the latter being better.

I'd lead much bigger on the flop to get more value. Basically try and get money in fast vs the donks

Check raising seems bad since CO is unlikely to cbet his air in 4 way 3bet pot.
