[5NL] Bet sizing on the flop here?

Villain is raising frequently on the button, but this was the first time he had called a 3bet from me. I have only been on the table for about 15 hands so I don't have much info, but he seems like a fairly solid player.

Is this sizing okay? At this point i'm putting him on Ax, or 77+, perhaps JT/KJ. I feel like the bet is on the small side.. would 2/3 the pot have be better? My reason for betting so small is that I don't want to move him off his hand, as I don't see his range connecting with this flop very often... but I wonder if i'm losing myself money in this spot by not going for a larger bet.

I think the bet is fine. It should be enough to get the information you need. When he calls I think he has something, and I would be carefull not to get crazy when betting the next streets. Would he just call your 3-bet with Aces or Kings? Hard to say when you've only played 15 hands with villian. There are no draws on the board that match the range you put him on. So tough these hands. I would also bet a little over half pot. Look forward to what the rest on here have to say :)

You definitely don't need to go bigger. The flop texture is very drop.

If anything I would go 0.4-0.45 before I went bigger than 0.5. I think your sizing is fine.

It's 5nl against an unknown so there's no need to worry about keeping your sizing consistent imo, plus you probably won't be seeing this guy too much again. You're only going to get one street of value in all likelihood so I go 70-75c here. 55-TT make up a bunch of his range that calls one street bigger than half pot but folds two streets. He has a bunch of ace high hands that maybe peel one and a bunch of other junk that missed that's not calling no matter what the sizing. There's some better Jx in there, but as long as we don't go broke on the river then I think we're fine with the bigger flop bet.

If you expect to play against this guy a bunch more, have reads that he's one of the better regs or are playing at 25nl+, then I think your sizing is fine. I think the 3bet from the sb is good too, but I don't tend to call much in the sb anymore.

Cliffs: it's 5nl, so elegance and balance just don't matter and are not the way to crush the level.

I'm confused, if we've only played 15 hands, how do we know he's raising the button frequently? Has he raised 3/3?

I think flop sizing is fine on this flop.
