The old signup thread was getting cluttered.
This is the setup that I have in mind.

- It's for 9 players, can be extended to 14 if more people want to play.
- Each day there are 2 lynches before night occurs, one after the other.
- Players can vote for multiple people at the same time.

Puts a vote on each of the above, voting thresholds stay the same.
- Mafia get one kill each night.

In the MU game, Village lynched a wolf on D1, but I was NK on N1. I was VV, so Village has an excellent start on the game.
Also, there's a role called the Hider which is an interestingly nerfed Seer.

I ninja'd your link in the OP, Hoopy. It was misdirecting. It's fixed now.
I'm torn on the 'no lynch' rule.
A) It's almost always bad for the village to not use their best tool to gain concrete information.
B) Being forced to vote for the 2nd kill before you have the info from the 1st kill is brutal to the village.
C) If the village is allowed a 'no lynch' and uses it every day, then it's just a standard vanilla game w/ 9 players and no specials.
I guess C) would dominate my decision if I was the mod for this game.
As a player, I'd ask that the kills be spread out as much as possible. I.e. 1 at half-day and 1 and EOD.
Except it basically means the game is vanilla, except the wolves only get to attack every other night.
That's not ideal from a mod's POV, either.
I guess I'd want some compromise. Make the 1st kill two hours before deadline - just long enough to get village shenanigans at a peak.
Except we play with a worldwide community and timing is a problem. Adjusting the "two hours" to fit everyone's schedule could be a problem.

This is a 9-player setup. With 3 lynches and 1 NK each day... this game is decided at or before EOD on D2.
After MMM's considerations, I like both kills happening at the same time. Then the village can finally do the "lynch BOTH lead wagons!" thing
I accidentally assumed there would be no maj lynch, and that the kills would happen on a timeline.
(That's how the MU game is running.)
I think you have to get rid of maj vote.
There will be 2 maj votes going on simultaneously.

Voting to no lynch is nearly always stupid for the village. Nearly. The only time it is actually a good thing is when it's 3 vs 1. In such a scenario, there are three potential mislynches, meaning the wolf has a better chance of winning than if it was 2 vs 1. Thus, it's in the village's interest to vote to no lynch when it's 3 vs 1. So far in my ww carreer, that's the only viable strategic use of a no lynch I've seen.
Of course, if the village can no lynch, then the wolf should be able to no nom. Therefore, where such a scenario is possible, the mod needs to call a draw or force the issue somehow if both the village refuse to lynch and the wolf refuses to nom.

The game's format:
I liked the no maj lynch rule. I'm not sure I'd like it all the time, but it was a different mechanic than I was used to.
The JK9++ format is excellent. I would def. play it again.
The modding:
There weren't any modding errors or mod-kills.
Someone requested to be subbed and it was promptly taken care of.
VC's were put up throughout the day.
The site:
The ability to see all the posts from a single player in isolation of the thread is AMAZING. Just click an ISO button and you get to see all of my posts. It's so freaking useful that I am going to seriously miss it ever more.
They have an EOD timer that stays updated / counts down. So when the mod posts the VC and it says, day ends in XXd YYh ZZm, it's always correct for the current time.
Also, they have some other interesting functionality which streamlines voting a bit.

All in all, I'd say I have no complaints whatsoever, and plenty of compliments.
Also. Thingyman is a beast. It was a real pleasure to play with him.
Ong is correct, the 3-1 scenario is the only time it's really viable to no lynch. In fact, at 3-1 it should be default for the village because it's such a better scenario for the wolf than 2-1.
I'm sure there's rare circumstances which involve specials where no lynch is viable, although I'm struggling to think of an actual example.
The strange thing about a 3 vs 1 no lynch is essentially the wolf has two noms the night before final day, and it's to his detriment.

I had no idea the rules were this tight.
They're very tight about ongoing game discussion at mafiascum. People are regularly getting tempbans for what they consider to be innocent references to ongoing games. There's just been too many game compromised thanks to sloppy talk, and that ends up being a huge waste of everyone's time, especially the mod who puts a lot of work into the game for nothing.
Even I've done it by accident. I picked up a warning via pm, and basically only avoided ban because I reported it myself and asked for it to be mod removed if it was a problem.
baudib should probably avoid flagging it though, it might turn a minor incident into a major one. I dunno if drew is owning it as wolf or villager. There may be an ulterior motive for his posts in here, there may not be. I have no interest in figuring that out. I think the bollocking drew is getting here should be enough for him to thinks "oops" and pay more attention to this rule in future.
