Am I destined to lose this from the start? I don't think I have a good enough read to be sure of KK and fold it on the flop...

I think so, you put in your money with the best of it at all times and he drew to a 2 outer. Bad luck but it's poker. Play it the same way next time.

It is unlikely you could have made him fold pre-flop....after the flop he had TPTK. From his point a view, you could have easily had QQ - JJ so he was trying to push you off the pot....and you would have had trouble laying down the best pair (if you didn't have him on KK)
The other way to look at it (bear w/ me I am still new to pot odds) Is if you thought you were behind you should not have called the reraise with just 2 outs...with that pot it looks like the max bet you should call w/ 2 outs is $14-15 - if you are drawing. Be that as it may, tough loss...I'm sure it won't make you feel better, but I would have played it the exact same way....and lost.
