What does VP$IP stand for? Just wondering cuz I don't have PT but I'd like to learn something from the FTR posts with VP$IP involved.
VP$IP = voluntarily put $ in potQuote:

I'm curious about this too, as I just made the plunge and bought PT. So far I've been looking at VP$IP, PFR%, Aggression Numbers, and hands that are big losers. What other kinds of leaks should I be looking for, and how?
for me personally my biggest leak is not respecting people's raises. i can see that very clearly now that i take a look at all my histories.Quote:

Look at hands that should be winners after you have played a large enough amount of hands to have a decent sample size.Quote:

Some hands are harder to play than others-
AQo
AJo
KQo
KJo
QJo
All of these hands are a little harder to play, but should be profitable. If you find you are losing a ton with AQo AJo, then you need to look at those hands and see what the problem is. Are you cold-calling with them? Are you 3-betting with them when you should be laying them down. Playing them out of position, etc...
You can also look at pocket pair hands that should be profitable and see how you are doing with them. Maybe you have trouble laying down JJ QQ when it is pretty obvious you are beat. TT-55 should be pretty good winners. I have had trouble making money with 22-44, but found using PT that I was playing these hands up front too often...
