What would you do here

Heads up match with 10 dollars on the line, and in this particular scenario, I'm on the button and have to complete my small.

I get dealt Ac Jd, and just limp, knowing that the BB is an aggressive player and will probably raise for me with any marginal holding (K-10, A-x). He doesn't disappoint, and raises 50 on top (blinds are 5/10, and we start with 1000 chips each). I reraise 100 more, and he just flat calls, so there's 320 in the pot going into the flop.

Flop comes down 8c 8d 2s, and BB pushes. What would you do here?

Turn comes up K. I stack off, get called. I show my boat, opponent shows KT. And guess what, the river came up K. Talk about rivered. Some idiot at the table said 'well you shouldn't have been in that hand anyway dumbass' and I pointed out I was on the BB and didn't pay a cent to see the flop. Anyhow. No one can fault me for slowplaying it, huh?

I´m no guru at heads-up, but I would probably wait for a better opportunity to win, at least if the stacks are about equal. With a very small stack and a very large stack I would make the call. I´d say it´s about 50/50 that he´s actually got something (8, 2, pp etc.) and then you have some outs if he´s got a low 2-pair, so you´re probably the favourite but it´s about coinflip I think. And it´s early in the match, right? (blinds are 5/10) and the pot ain´t huge so if you think you´re the better player, fold and push later when you have a made hand.

That must be tough getting used to(punching it with rags). I've only played freeze-out MTTs so far.

I actually folded, and it turned out the BB had Ad 9h.

Same opponent, different game last night.

I'm a lil' shortstacked, holding 840, and him holding 1160. Blinds are 25/50, and I'm dealt Qs 8s in the BB. He raises 50 (a minbet), and I call, putting him on high pp's (he likes to minbet pocket As through Qs). Thought going behind my head is that if I can catch an unexpected hand here, I can take him for his stack, 'cause he has a hard time laying down high pockets, even on terrible boards.

Flop comes Jc 10c 7c. Not exactly a dream flop. My initial read was high pockets, so at this point, the best I think he has is trip Js, but more likely an unimproved pair that got no help. Unfortunately, he still has me beat, so I check, planning to fold if he raises. He checks behind me, and my read is that he dislikes all the clubs.

Turn is a 9 of spades. I hit my 4 outer for a straight. I value bet a measly 100 into a 200 sized pot. After a bit of hesitation, he calls.

The river comes the K of spades. While AQ did occur to my mind, I didn't think he had the higher straight. After all, I put him on pockets, and now, probably trip Ks. I bet out another 100, a weak lead, intending to lure him in and reraise, when he announces he's all in.

What would you do here?

I think your small value bet on the turn and river after checking a flushed flop would worry any sane player. But, his all-in bet on the river shows a complete lack of concern for the possibility that you yourself may've flopped a flush. Unless your opponent is really bad at making decisions, I don't think he can sensibly move all-in here with anything other than the flush, so I think there's a solid chance that he may've flopped the flush, possibly even the nut flush with suited overcards.

HU you need to be aggressive. Raising just about any hand. Ace high you raise.

I made the laydown, and it turned out he had pocket 4s.

I've noticed this leak in my game lately. I make my fair share of bluffs, so I usually don't worry too much about being outplayed, but it seems that people tend to peg me pretty quickly as someone who'll raise a lot but fold to a reraise, and start bluffing me off hands like two pair and the straight on a flush draw or paired board. I don't really know what I can do about this, but it seems that every session, I always lose a decent to big pot to someone who moves in with absolute shit. Just last night, I lost a huge pot heads up when I flopped top two pair (6c 5h on a 6s 5d 4d board), bet huge, and then folded when the other guy moved all in with pocket deuces. Anyone have any advice for me?
