Learning the Pot Odds and differens between limit and NL..

Hi!

I'm a fairly new poker player. Am doing "ok" (that means I'm actually not loosing money but aren't really making any either :) )

Anyway, I've been reading trough your exellent sites and also bought some books. Bought the "Internet Texas Hold'em" book by Matthew Hilger (www.internettexasholdem.com har more info on that book).

However, this book is about limit holdem and I really want to plan NL. I think I will still have good use of this book. What do you think? What do I need to think about differently when playing NL instead of Limit?

Anyway...This book deals with pot odds in a different way than the FTR site does. First of all they use "4 to 1" instead of 25% but that's just a way of thinking. But secondly, the chart he has is also only on getting the out on the next card on the turn. The charts you have are on getting it on either the turn or the river.

How should I deal with this? Any more documents about pot odds that I can read?

Limit games often refer to pot odds in ratio form. NL you will see more fractions and percentages in relation to the size of the pot.

25% is 3 to 1.

That is important to learn.
