No offense but... Worst wolf showing ever. Baudib and JKDS are 1 & 2 on the lynch block D1. And kami well... No words. No words.

When wuf sent me the n2 target of rilla, I got excited and hoped that kami would hit wuf, with the vig hitting gabe. That would set kami up for the most unlikely win, becase wuf wouldn't be able to tell the village that he didn't target kami like everyone would assume.

But then monkey had to go and deviate from the programme too. Plus kami hit the wrong special.

gj smf. to note, your somewhat hard to tell reason why jkds looked wolfy based on baud's power was a vig tell.

i want to say the talk about what the specials should or shouldnt do did not help us. as a rule, i dont talk about specials and when a special i never claim until the last day or the game is cinched, even if im about to be lynched. i say this to say that i felt like some of d2 talk was giving the wolf reasons to see who was vanilla and who was not.

n1 i jailed rilla because duh he's most likely nom regardless and was clearly not a speical. i switched to smf because upon further investigation, his d1 was majorly wolfy, but then switched back to rilla because i was getting too fps.

n2 was rilla again because he could be nom target again but also he could have been the wolf. the wolves needed two late switches to keep baud alive and rilla was not playing like a villager d2, so it was possible the wolves just had a wacky ass strategy for whatever reason.

i was never going to jail kami. specials dont do what theyre told unless the seer tells them. so i guess it was true that kami was frozen. unfortunately most of us havent played with her to contrast what her unfrozen play is like.

I thought Kami was fine, other than not finding any wolves she was playing her village game.

BID was pretty lolobvious rolecop and made a useless peek but played well.

Village romps while ignoring Gabe and Gator, who were on the wolf D2. too stronk.

I made my case in the dead thread why Ong's decision to not count votes that happened at :00 was wrong. It wouldn't have mattered.

Monkey's shot is the key to the whole game, there's not really any reason he should think I'm W/W with JKDS over Luco but good read.

Also, traditionally specials haven't been able to target the same player consecutive nights, I guess Wuf could have jailed Rilla forever and we wouldn't be able to kill him.

Kami was then obvious. Gator and Gabe did more to solve the game than her lol

The jkds snipe was sweet. I submitted jkds even before the baudib flip was even revealed. I thought baudib was gonna flip villa and jkds was my top wolf read.

Once I saw the reveal I fist pumped hard, reread the thread and saw it Woulda been difficult for them to be w/w but I went with my gut read. Thankfully I binked the second pr wolf! I then super fist pumped at that reveal

I understand talking about claims n stuff let's the wolf plan n such but at the same time we were just trying to figure out whether claiming is a good idea or not. We were only after 1 wolf so narrowing down the pool even further I thought was a good idea. Even though we never did so good job for that

This isn't true. Regular angels are often restricted in this manner, but the whole point of that restriction is to avoid follow the cop. No such worry with a jailer. Furthermore, this is an approved setup, there's no need to tweak it.

rilla, how would you handle the vote thing on d1 as mod?

You should mod the next one baud. I wanna play and I feel like another game without us playing together would be a good thing.

outside of that, i think claiming is always wrong (unless an angel can protect you, but those kinds of games blow).

Great shooting SMF, that JKDS shot was amazing. Solid villagering from lilrascal this game too.

About the deadline thing, it could go both ways if you worded it like "deadline is 12:00" but I just checked and at 5:33 you said 26 mins left. When 26 mins counts down to 0, that's 5:59 not 6:00. Though at 5:52 you said 8 minutes left, which puts some life into the 6:00 time stamp.

In any case, it's a learning lesson for mods to tamp out ambiguity.

For the record, I like ongs logic re: 12:00:14 time stamp ruling

read the dead thread. i just want to be clear that i dont think jailing rilla n2 was soulreading or going off script at all. the village "deciding" what the specials should do isn't legitimate. specials need to be autonomous and not take any plans made by game posts into consideration. this does change if the person giving the plan is the outed seer.

so i wasnt trying to soulread anything, it just didn't even cross my mind that sticking to a very unvetted plan would be a good idea. i decided i was probably going to jail rilla again at the very beginning of d2 anyways.

Positive criticism to take away from this game for baudib would be "take a stance"

about the timing thing, it's probably best to say the exact end time instead of just "such n such minutes"

I think the time stamp this is problematic because my time stamps don't have seconds.

In court, 12:00:01 is late. But meeting someone at noon and showing up at 12:00:01 is clearly fine. It's not clear cut.

It's not an issue here because we almost never do POG style CFDs. Except this game.

but on POG and MU there are vote counters with the :00 good, :01 bad and of course the thread auto locks at :01.

I think the big issue here was the fact that Ong stated at :52 that day ends in 8 mins, which does not lead me to believe I need to vote at :59. Rilla must have thought the same thing.

I mean there's no angleshooting going on, both Rilla and I clearly have the intention of voting JKDS within the deadline.

Obviously as the most powerful wolf I'm voting anyone (including JKDS) other than myself and I was active and obviously looking to snipe.

I think barring a clearly stated "votes after :59 do not count" or a "IT IS NIGHT" message, those votes should count.

The disallowed votes, I guess I've set the precedent as far as my modded games go.

During the ten minutes I was mulling it over, I was trying to justify allowing the votes. But I knew the instant I saw them that I felt they were late.

I'm not sorry for the decision, but I am sorry I wasn't crystal clear, and for the casual "8 mis left" reminders. Like rilla says, learning curve. I'm sure it's happened here before, but I couldn't specifically remember a game, and figured it would take maybe hours to find a precedent. I felt like I was making the technically correct decision, one which I stand by.

BTW, Wuf's case on why it has to be Gator was as hilarious and bad as him reading BID villager last game.

SMF truly GOATed it here by ignoring how a wolf treated his partners and just shot the wolfy people.

SMF for MVP over Rilla by the slimmest of margins, I'll never really understand why Rilla was all over me from post 1.

This village was truly annoying. JKDS had it right when he said he couldn't really come up with anything wolfy anyone had done.

For instance, Rascal, having not randed seer for the first game in forever, was unusually active on D1. Even Hoopy was villagery FFS.

The only really bad posts from villagers came from BID, and when there was no momentum to get him lynched it was pretty much gg. Especially since BID actually had good reads.

I found that when trying mafia scum formats, wolves are typically disadvantaged. Dunno why, but it always seems like the village is favored.
