I've played GH2 and Rock band for ps2/ps3 over my friend's house before. He has GH2 beat on expert so it can't be too hard, amirite???

everything is for xbox360 if it matters
You can't get any GH2 songs on GH3 DLC. Definitely pick up a copy of GH2 (which is actually harder than GH3 b/c of the smaller timing window and harder hammer ons and pull offs).
yeah i got GH1/GH2 combo set for chrismas and i liked 2 the most of any of them.
I just finished creating my third custom song chart. How nerdy is that. It's Creed - What If
I'm trying to make a vid of it but my camtasia seems to be fubard.
There's only like 3-4 songs I haven't beaten on expert.
BECAUSE WE FUCKING OWN :)Quote:

i'm stupid
yes, you DL'd the foo fighters preview movie not the songs themselves
played GH3 this weekend, after putting it off for ever becasue I don't need another addicting game ( and i get addicted ).
So where can I get GH1 or G2 with the guitar, for cheap, and then get 3 after I do them to bits ( Don't say eBay) I don't have PayPal.
Since you're talking about GH1, then I'm assuming you're talking about PS2. Here's a bundle of both games http://www.amazon.com/Activision-Gui...0379443&sr=8-1 but you'll have to find a guitar seperate.
You can get them on craigslist dirt cheap
WOOT, my sister was in Toys'r'Us today and they had 2 GH3's for the Wii. She gave me one as a gift for the new job I got on Tues.
Trip report in a week, cya.
Finished easy level first night. Quick question, anyone have a Wii that plays this? There is no GH2 or GH1 so is there an option for more songs or a way to play GH1 or 2? Not that I plan to finish this soon, but what if I get addicted and need more?
You can buy songs via the online marketplace for the xbox 360. I'm not sure about the wii.
With the playstation 2 (which you can grab off craigslist for $50 or so) you can download several thousand songs made by other fans of the game.
Rock Band > GH2/GH3
True for multiplayer but not single player.Quote:

I have both and pretty much the only time I play Rock Band anymore is when I have people over. Occasionally I'll play the drums which are very fun but not that often. The guitar parts in Rock Band are boring and are super easy.
This is true. RB is generally easier than GH. For those of us that haven't reached Expert level, we simply play at a higher level than we do in GH. The drums are hella fun, though!Quote:

Rock Band is for those people who just want to rock out with their friends.
I just wanna rock out, not nerd out.
Easy - 42 of 42
Medium - 42 of 42
Hard - 3 of 42
WTF happened to gradually getting tougher? Each jump is Nuts. Faster and add a button. Went back to play some of the songs on medium today after finally finishing a few songs on hard , wow, what was so hard about the first four songs on medium? By the time you finish Nights of Cydonia, Raining Blood and One, pretty much your ready for the jump except that damn new key.
And that last boss battle on medium was sick, I don't know if I can get it on hard. May take a while. Any tips for getting through the hard stage? Do I need to start practicing. Up until now, I have only practiced a bit for the first song to get used to the new key, both times.
A) youre probably holding the guitar wrong, seems like 80% of the people i see play do
B) concentrate on learning to pick in and up and down fashion rather than straight down like 80% of the people i see play do. Play the entire game on easy with alternating the picking on each note
I downstrum about 90% of the notes, I only alt-strum when it is absolutely necessary for those fast strumming parts.
Thats like saying I only raise preflop when I need to

It's a great day when your 8 year old decides to start playing this game. He's still on easy but playing some great tunes
haha, vintage wufwugy.
Hi I'm wufwugy.
Back in the day I beat this game on expert, including raining blood.
I much prefer realtars these days.
I suck at the realtars, but I was pretty decent at GH3. The expert songs were mostly fucktarded though, stupid fake chords and shit pwned me always.
This thread kinda makes me want to bust it out again..
