lol... Well, I was never a real big fan of the band. Sure, bro hymn was great. But they just don't have much range at all. And yeah I feel like that description applies to the vast majority of 90s-ish punk bands, very few exceptions, which is kind of sad given how popular it was imoQuote:

By the time zeitgeist came out he was in his late 30s, in a different stage of life and was singing about shit like how soliders should stop fighting (obv poke at the Iraq war, way to miss the boat Billy) or... well I don't know what else, I didn't get that much into after realizing how vanilla the album was... but def not nearly as profound as his earlier work
so maybe his sucking in Zeitgeist is just a function of being older and more mellowed out. You can't go thru life being the way Billy Corgan was in the mid 90s without putting a bullet in the back of your head at some point. So his music had to suffer, otherwise he would have gone the way of Kurt Cobain...
