Don't think I'd ever seen this video before but both it and the song are goot.

90's rock/grunge is so win. It's still basically all I listen to still.
OMG so wrong ^^

And from their 2008 release (not terrible, just too mellow/blah):

Why did no one mention Collective Soul as an underrated 90's band? They don't all have to be indie!
Bigred, you need to hear a lot of the Canadian stuff from that time if you liked that I Mother Earth one, there was lots of quality stuff going on up here then. Now the whole Canadian scene has either died or I'm too old to take notice of who's from where anymore the few times I actually hear a new song.
There's a few Canadian bands I've taken a liking to lately. Mother Mother, Billy Talent, and Death From Above 1979 are the only ones that come to mind that aren't totally emo/lame.

i saw skyline tonight, anyone notice the blonde chick girlfriend is the tranny from always sunny?
Seriously though
my shit > pearl jam > collective soul
heeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy remember local h?
they were a good band
you go ahead, as good as dead
Really? The toadies had like one legit radio song. Local H has bound to the floor and eddie veder
Also, Queens of the Stoneage is epic win. Their older stuff (aka pre-"No One Knows") is sheer awesomeness. New stuff is still pretty solid too.
BTW, how awesome did the red hot chili peppers become in the 90s/2000s? Like, under the bridge, aeroplane, etc were all good, but they really exploded thanks to the californication album
Remember monster magnet, before that space lord stupid song.
YouTube - Monster Magnet - Negasonic Teenage Warhead
If Only is my fav. Never say never is also pretty win (The Punisher soundtrack). Though half of songs on Songs for the Deaf is 4+ stars in my music library.
Yeah they are still pretty awesome, it's rare a band can keep from turning up the suck as the years go on. I never liked them much at first, but they've really grown on me.
Hah yeah. I don't recall that song, it's not bad.
Remember that band called Salt? Not Veruca Salt lesbians or whatever, but some grungy Swedish band.

btw, one of the great videos of all time

In Utero > all other Nirvana albums.
I was such a Nirvana nerd back in the day. I even bought a 3 disc import set (Season in Hell) with a couple pre '91 bootlegged shows and a bunch of the rarities.
YouTube - Nirvana - D-7
meh, i still think nevermind is one of the best albums ever
/night
YouTube - Nirvana-Sappy Live [02/25/94]
^ Also a great song. I remember being in the States in 1995 and heard a station, in Alabama IIRC, that would play that song fairly often. I was in awe since radio where I live was so so terrible with all their top 40/bs classic rock- not the good classic rock (Sabbath, Iron Maiden, etc) either.
bigred, reading through this stuff and other threads, I pretty much have the exact same music tastes as you, but Pearl Jam was good (not great, but good), and while NIN is easily one of my favorite bands of all time, the perfect drug is the worst thing reznor ever did. The song is OK, the video is decent, but compared to everything else it's meh. The worst was the single. I bought it because I bought everything NIN I've been able to get my hands on, but I'll never listen to it again. It was about 10 shitty mixes of a decent song.
and for the record, unplugged was the best nirvana ever.
can we listen to some stone temple pilots itt?

and maybe a little alice in chains? would that be ok mr red?

i kind of skimmed, but no mention of soundgarden ITT? i always like them in jr. high/high school.
Ah snap, yeah Soundgarden pwns. That "new" single is badass too. I think it was a Badmotorfinger reject, remastered with some new Chris Cornell vocals as well.

Glad I'm not the only one who loves old QOTS
If we're talkin' soundgarden then we better include the good stuff.
