In regards to rule two, are you only basing your experience on coffee?
I made a rule to myself never to consume coffee. However, green tea has worked amazingly for me. It has less caffeine than coffee. I suggest at least trying green tea before strictly implementing this rule.
Have had very little time to get online and been super busy with booking shit and sending tons of emails, however, there is room for an update!
Saw Belgium and Netherlands, heading to Germany in 1 hour on an overnight train to Berlin. Arriving at 4:30am so I guess I'll see the sun rise? hah, epiccc
Also was at a restaurant the other day and was just going to order a coke with my meal, turns out it was cheaper to buy a beer. Voila!
Food for thought (cafe in Bruges, or Brugge, or whatever the fuck you want to call it depending on your nationality)

Nothing beats a beast of an afternoon snack like beer and a waffle in Belgium. Will try to update later on, peace!
pipe and a crepe is wayy better
have fun in berlin dude - i recommend roadside rotisserie chicken and chips!
berlin was cool
so im in lucerne at the moment andheading to nice tomorrow (another >8hour train day horray...)
when I get back from this vacation I am seriously putting in at least 40 hours a week of playing.
Doubt it.
mmmmm wheat beer.
Nah, since there's monies on the line, you'll obviously make it. That's the worst prop ever unless I'm getting like 3:1 imo. Plus I'm super busto. :-P
What are the odds?
Lol this is going to pick up steam. I wouldn't bet on it unless it was 200 hours with X amount of profit or something. Otherwise its lolez game.
Nah I'm not interested in propping since as I said above, I'm a busto feesh. I'm sure others would be/are interested. My initial comment of doubt it was for the luhlz.
200 hr? How much action would you need to make it worth your while?
dude, let me get this straight. Over a period of 28 days you will play 200hrs of 9+tables, minimum stakes 50nl, with a condition of $10k profit minimum over the 200hrs?
my 500 vs your 300 ?
I'm in for 300 on that. 2.5:1 against.
well I can play more than 200 hours
but yeah, I don't see a point to making any minimum stake considering it wouldn't be possible below 50nl, and only 50nl would be a ridiculous accomplishment.
I've played like 1000 hands at 400nl so I guess 200nl will be the max for this.
I will be back from vacation in about a week and will probably start this a couple days after, so keep throwing offers at me and I'll try and figure out a fair way to work the odds. (my highest profit month ever was $7100 and this included fpps, so I guess we will make it $10,000 raw profit excluding fpps @ supernova rate or should they be included? input on this appreciated)
I only had like $5,600 of raw profit for the 7k month I believe fwiw
I'd be interested in gambling.
Yeah, I will be down for some gamboooooooool.
the 10k minimum profit is what makes it a snap hit for me. I'm not that much of an angleshooter to make you exclude fpp's.
M2M prob has 200k Fpps saved just for this reason.
Only feeps earned during the prop count obv. We'd have to get a screenshot of his BR before and after ldo.
you name the rules dude, i guess i was thinking that if you somehow box 10k in the first three weeks then it's ez game to play a lot of hours at 5nl. But that was ridiculous on my part. Excluding fpps makes it simpler, but makes the profit mark way harder. I'm neutral, and looking forward to seeing what odds you put down on this. Enjoy the rest of europe yo!
also, re the fpps/profit joke comment from !luck, having fpps saved doesn't help. HEM screenshot showing mgr gives us an indication of vpps earned, plus i trust m2m not to pull any shit on this. Hell, if this prop bet makes him put 1k at risk and inspires him to grind more than ever then it's +EV for him, even if he doesn't hit the 10k profit mark - that's why i don't feel like scum for betting against him
regarding the fpps thing, I can take a screenshot of my year to date vpps then take another when the bet is over, then use the vpp/hand rate determined by PT3 to figure out the dollar value based on my Supernova status how much money that would equal.
or more simply put, say I earn 30,000 vpps during the bet. based on the Supernova multiplier that is 3.5 x 30,000vpp = 105,000 fpps. Multiply the 105,500 fpps times the best available fpps rate for supernova's (.016 x 105,000) and you have $1,680 dollar value.
imo its sick for me to ever make 10k in less than a month including fpps seeing as ill mostly be playing 100nl anyway and i dont even mass table.
keep in mind i am drunk as hell writing this post however, i think reasonable terms would be $10,000 in 28 days earned minimum and have some sort of stipulation where i cant play more than 50% of my volume higher than 100nl USD to make it harder to earn money just rakeback whoring so that i probably need at least 8k worth of table profit at best and just ignore the milestone bonuses etc. for this and only count fpps at supernova value.
plus im lazy as fuck and will go all out for the first 3 days then suicide.
now that u have terms lets hear the odds u offer i think something liek 2:1 is fair given the fpps clause tho im open tosuggestions if you have a good explanation cuz i doubt id be able to pull this off consistently and its probably even -ev for me in the short term - i.e. this single bet that is - however i think there may be some long term benefits of taking on such a challenge to make it worth my effort despite the fact i feel im a slight dog given the work load im going to take on which, given my history/style/results/lazzeifaire approach to poker just isnt anywhere near simple.
holla
also lol @ undermining the credibility i present after all my contributions to this forum and the intergrity i commit to regarding any poker transactions
i assume this is a level, and if there was ever some sort of angle possible to take regarding the bet that would be in favor of myself i would deny the opportunity as doing such would be unethical and disrespectful to other bettors.
dude, the prop sounds all good. You should define the exit stuff - e.g. if poker legal situation changes, you or close family member/girlfriend sick/accidents, etc. Or you can simply only accept action from people you think wouldn't be an arse about this kind of stuff - and agree this in advance (a 'no being an arse' clause ;))
basically:
1) 10k profit over a continuous 28 day period, comprised of fpp value earned (as per agreed rates) and table profits. Start date to be agreed. Minimum of $6.5k of the profit coming from the tables.
2) minimum of 200hrs played
3) stakes, no more than 50% above 100nl (replace this with 200nl if you want)
4) 2:1 odds - i.e. for every $100 you risk in the bet, the others risk $200.
5) cash game profits only (i.e. ignores any mtt variance either way)
^ how does this sound?
ok, how much action do you want on this? i'm guessing you can get loads - i'll take a reasonable amount. Happy to escrow if you want, i don't think there is any need tho - like, i probably trust you more than a 3rd party escrow, and it's worth more to me to be able to continue using ftr/irc than whatever the $ value of this prop bet.
I'll put $100 down.
I'd be willing to put $100 on this at 2:1 but idk if you want to take bets that low. Up to you.
daven look good ill review this when sober dranger ill take bets as low as 100
let me know when ur back from euroland so we can hu

Skinny white midget Canadians itt
They prefer to be called 'little people'.
Too bad you're not shaking a PokerStars rep while taking delivery on that car using your 3 million FPP's :)
I wasn't serious. Will bet on this.
Hey everyone. I'm back in Canada now. The next couple of days might be a bit busy for me but I should be getting back into the poker groove pretty soon. I'll release the date/conditions of my proposed bet in the near future so stay tuned!
Tits or gtfo
M2M looks like you had a good trip. When's the bet startin?
Should be soon, have some things to take care of irl before I get involved though.
Now, starting Monday I'm back to working out regularly so I decided I'm going to get up at 10:00am mon-fri and treat poker with a little more structure so I can start moving forward. I'm going to start taking a multivitamin to go along with my protein intake so should be a nice balance to my diet then maybe in a few months I'll look to cut down fat or something but f that for now.
Time to start pwning life. Just made a withdrawal to last me at least a week or two so I have no reason to open my cashier tab. :shipit:
Looking forward to your full return. I can't wait to travel to Europe some day when I have time/money for it. Never knew you were Canadian (or did I?). Where you from? I'm a Vancouverite myself.
So I may not go through with my proposed bet due to maybe attempting to move up to 2/4 near the end of the month.
I'll have to see how the bankroll rolls, but I'm aiming not to withdraw anything more until June. In the meantime my results at 1/2 will dictate whether or not its time to start dipping into bigger games and avoiding smaller ones. I have no problems sticking it out longer at .50/1 - 1/2 if necessary. However, I think it may in fact be unnecessary when I could make potentially more money while facing new challenges ahead. Therefore, until I know for sure that I'll be staying at .50/1 - 1/2 for significantly longer, consider the proposed bet void. Sorry to get everyone excited over nothing. It likely would have been an interesting prop for both parities and I was pretty eager to get moving with it but I've decided I need to focus on my other goals now and use mass grinding small stakes as a back up plan (like it should be), rather than my objective.
@ xpaand: Kingston Ontario (2hrs or so from Toronto)
Sounds like a wize decision although would have been interesting. Your doing so damn well. Seems like it wasn't very long ago you were down in the micros with us little ppl. Good job!
Thanks man.
Not much happening to update, just grinding it out and visiting with people now that I am home. I have over 1200 photos from Europe to go over with those who want to see them so that will be a bit hectic. So far only my gf has seen them all, and my parents have seen 1/6 albums lol.
Nothing much to update. Same standard stuff. Running well and playing well since I got back from vacation. Going to aim to get grinding those VPPs and put enough time to have my 100k VPP milestone covered sometime in June, then with a bit of effort get on pace for clearing at least 300k.
holla
Hey everyone, just checking in to say hey and that I am still alive and grinding. Nothing much else to say so enjoy the rest of May!
Highlight of today was getting 3bet by a reg and he had 94o. I lol'd pretty hard at that. Yeah, my life is just that exciting. :|
in other news I'm in the works of planning out a vacation to Niagara Falls. Should be pretty fun I guess.
lol, looks like I would have booked that 10k bet.
thanks man
M2M,
You said variance free. Define "variance Free"
You and Jason usually have the most stable graphs. Amazing
If you were going to put sticky notes on your monitor of things to remember what would they read?
I put a note on my monitor once that said "no tilting" but for some reason it made me tilt so I put a note on it that said "Having Fun?" That seemed to help more. I will add one that says "Range?" Maybe that will keep me from just pushing buttons sometimes.
How often do you make what you would consider Hero calls? I was probably losing 90% of my hero calls so I pretty much stopped making 90% of ones that would normally make. Ones I would call would be like a K hitting the river when I had been value betting JJ on an under card, dry board against a 30/20/8 and he shoves river.
less often than I used to, and I'm still wrong 90% of the time I call anyway. people are bluffing way less often than you think, especially on later streets. like preflop and on the flop yeah, there's alot of bluffing going on. but as far as shoving over 3barrels and crap it just doesn't happen that often at small stakes - mostly because alot of players just don't value bet thin and therefore are real polarized when they fire later streets which makes bluff catching/folding more appropriate (generally speaking) than trying to blow them off some 1pair type hand they don't even have in their range.
I've been making more 'hero bluffs' lately though and seems to be working out well. Occasionally someone will own your soul but if you have solid reads on your opponents you can really open up your game to exploit them. Just try to play solid and don't get out of line unless you have a real sound reason behind what you are doing.
man this blog needs some tits or something, not much going on here.

Weeeee, lets sweat :)
Okay I have something to update now.
Up $10k in less than 100k hands (filtered just for 200nl FR). Now I just need to A)sustain that and B) start getting that volume in under a month!

Red Line!? Good shit. I would assume your red line is a constant small rise. You seem to be very consistent. Your worst downswing ~7.5 buyins...that's sick.
that money goes a long way in argentina dude
m2m,
I've been loosely following you since your early micro limit days and am not surprised at how well you're doing today. You're latest garffs are sick. Mine used to look like that, but now they are all fuxxored and not sure how to get back to the good ol' days.
Everything I've seen you do or say has been nothing but professional. Keep up the great work.
I seem to play better when I have no idea how much money I am up or down so from today till Monday I won't be checking my bankroll or my results in PT3.
solid day on the grind played ~4200 hands and hoping to keep this sort of pace going throughout the rest of the weekend.
Man, the progress you have made since I have been gone! Sick life, keep it up!!
So I haven't quite been playing my best lately and I figure I'll just post a hand I played badly as sort of a wake up call.

I discussed this for awhile with good player and together we concluded that calling the turn is far superior to jamming. Villain isn't one to have any Ax combo's to c/r on this flop because he would 3bet AJ/AQ/AK/AT pre, as well as KK, TT, and AA given how the match was going. Therefore he's repping QJ for a straight, worse flush draws, and random air. He also isn't the type of player to c/r weak Ax hands on the flop as he would just check call.
So on the turn I either have the best hand, or am losing to QJ (or like AT/TT if he decided to flat one time). Therefore I'm either way ahead or getting it in with 22% equity. If I jam the turn, he's going to fold all the hands I beat (i.e. dominated flush draws). This makes the turn a call, since if I bink the river I'll certainly stack worse flushes. A J is def an out for me, and, I can bluff A, K, or T rivers since I can so easily have a boat he would be forced to muck QJ. Getting a bit better than 2:1 it seems like a simple call. Also, I had been absolutely running villain over, stealing 90%, 3betting 25% and I had caught him making moves on me in the past so it isn't out of question for him to be c/r'ing this flop with hands like J9, As it turns out I would have def won the hand being able to shove this particular river. Next time I guess :|
I posted that really late at night so I probably didn't explain my thought process well but meh.
In other real life news JERRY SEINFELD is coming to Kingston Ontario this Saturday and I have floor seats 6 rows back SHIPPPPPPPP ITTTTTTTTTT!
What do you think about calling blank river shoves in that hand? You got a good feel for how likely he is to jam his air range?
he's not going to bluff this river nearly enough to exploit me for folding Q hi (lol).
he hadn't fired a 2nd barrel once the whole match let alone a 3rd so I really can't expect to be good enough on river. his ranges were super polarized on every street basically. I had this sick hh where i rebluffed A44r with 98o all in heh..i should poast.
