Yesterday before posting I checked and had:
'9 messages stored, of a total 0 allowed'.

I did get your message and that zero has now increased to 200 so I now get:

I also now have a Private Messaging section above Visitor Messaging in the General Settings, which I did not have before;

Posting these details in thread in case anyone else has these problems.
Perhaps just being sent a new PM fixed it,
(perhaps a Mod is playing with me, perhaps this forum is Rigged against just me, still a mystery as to what went wrong).

From what I can tell, you're not checked off in any user groups you should be in. I have no access at teh moment to the Admin panel though to make changes, give it a day and PM me if it's not fixed
