This.
I don't play online much anymore but my gut says players don't bluff with this line and he has plenty of nut hands in his range.
I could go either way with a flop bet or a flop c/c, your hand plays pretty poorly c/cing the flop but it's just a poor hand on this board texture anyway. I think betting the turn is too thin, and I...
I'm pretty indifferent to raising or calling the flop, I think if we're talking GTO we'd probably see a mixed strategy here, and I'd just decide what to choose based on game flow and image. I think...
Also think it's a fold. There's no reason for your opponent to feel like he strong reps a flush here, nor does he have reason to believe you can't have a flush here, nor does he get here with air...
I think this is very close but I agree with a shove.
It's doubtful, you definitely should not check back this river. But if our opponent check/jams we should consider calling. I doubt it's coming though.
Seems like a great hand to check to me.
2nd one is amazing
Hopefully there are more TD connections than drama. But with RG3 looking quite bad this preseason I have a feeling we're going to see an annoyed Jackson yapping to the media at some point this...
I'm unbelievably excited for Football, Go Skins!
I think I'd be very happy to bet here. I don't really understand what one pair hand he has but he played it exactly like one pair.
I think in general poker players get deep stacked and start playing hands that they wouldn't normally play and there sole reasoning is "but but but we're deep!" This doesn't make it profitable to...
I think the idea that the turn c/r from our opponent includes some wide range that includes all types of different hands is insane and foolish.
Hey Matt, love your work with the TDA and poker tournament rules. I have a couple questions:
1) Obviously having universal tournament rules are important for poker tournaments since it makes it...
I'm going to do an FTR interview soon so I'll save the answers to these questions for that interview.
The sizing postflop is less "pot controlling" and more "normal" for live tournaments. As you saw, I don't do that bullshit. I think I do pretty well.
It was a genuinely tough spot but I had basically decided not to jam from the start but just wanted to think about it. It was one of my first 4x raises and I didn't think anyone was going to 3bet me...
it was 6k/12k with a 2k ante 7 handed, so its essentially 11k/22k if there were no antes. I could just raise I think it's better to just jam. It was A9o btw
And also that you should get TMGoP 2 on audio book cause Jared's voice is better than Barry Whites
Just wanted to mention that ftrs own Danny Steinberg has a two page section in Jared's new book.

Genuinely tough spot. I'm leaning towards fold.
No raise on the flop?
I prob call river, too thin. Who knows if he calls worse and it's not clear that we have him beat.
